Way too many taylor swift references (a thing that I’ve noticed has become quite common in sapphic books, especially for a person who isn’t even gay 🌚) but the overall story was cute, however it could’ve been better.

Didn’t enjoy this as much as I enjoyed the first one in the series :/

Idk I found it very weird that Gabriella put maya up for the bonus when she’d only just started working there, i didn’t find it  fair on remi who had been waiting on a promotion for a while (kinda manipulative imo)

Wasn’t really a big fan on the romance aspect of their relationship either, their dynamic moved a little too fast if I’m being honest lol.

Also the lead up to the ending was very unnecessary but it’s something I’ve come to accept within fiction.

Cute story and great narration but it feels like something was missing?

Bit confused as to why this is advertised as a SAPPHIC book but spends more time concentrating on the straight couple than it does the actual sapphics 🙃

and maybe it was the narration but I couldn’t tell if Freya’s bosses name was ‘Brian’ or ‘Ryan’ cos I kept hearing both lol

Coulda done without the pop culture references and the constant use of celebrity names but a cute listen (audiobook) nevertheless.

However, i wasn’t fully sold on the romantic aspect of their relationship? idk the premise makes sense for a friends to falling out/rivals to friends relationship dynamic more than to a lovers one but that’s just my opinion 🤷

But joe was my favourite part of this book (saying something since I’m a certified man hater) and getting to know him just to accept that he died was very upsetting lol.

I knew this was gonna be a book I’d love simply from the cover and I’m glad my intuition wasn’t wrong, like I absolutely loved this (to the point where I wouldn’t actually mind a live adaptation 🤫)
