WILD book to even exist tbh! Breezy read and enlightening to experience if you’re familiar with the broad strokes of her life in advance. Trial chapter has the funniest quotes.

Mattie Lubchansky never misses!!! I'm primarily familiar with their work through their political comics via The Nib (rip) and this is very much an extension of that, on Atlantic libertarian Vegas.

Breezy read via Hoopla in the web browser, breaking me out of my reading slump and motivating me to read more in-depth books on the topic, so that's gotta be worth something! Like seriously I do view that as a positive win.

It's not really a guidebook though it's more vibes and anecdotes. Hope against hope I'm still looking for tips and tricks despite my therapist saying I try harder than anyone she knows and that I probably just need to move to a different city. I highlighted some parts and I'll try to incorporate things.

I love Mari Costa’s work! I loved the use of pinkscale in tandem with Belle’s arc of learning not to be ashamed of her femininity (a declaration I feel secure in declaring on account of the color symbolism talk in the book lolllll) I thought it was very subtle and well done. And improved by the romance with a butch secure in her masculine presentation without question. I felt like Regina’s character development kind of sputtered out at the end as she faded into the background. I thought her last conversation with Belle was really meaningful and well done.

Simple and educational! Some parts were painfully 2014, but so it goes.
