HOT and super fun! I loved the little world created and it sounds like a lovely place to live amongst all the different species. My only issue is that I wish there was a stronger distinction between what was happening in the moment and when Violet would jump back to a previous memory. That got confusing for me.
I don’t know if it’s because I’m reading it after everyone hyping it up so much but this was knotit for me. Was it entertaining? Yes but I think this will be my last Ali Hazelwood book, they always seem to fall flat for me and I wanted to like her books so bad :(
Karina Halle is an auto-read author for me. It was a quick read but man were some of these scenes tough 😫 absolutely make sure you read the trigger warnings before continuing which Karina displays at the beginning of the book. I’m so glad that this ends with a HEA
Loved this the first time I read it and enjoyed it even more reading it the second time now knowing what happens and already reading the second book, Iron Flame. I think one of my favorite things about reading fantasy books more than once is that you get a different experience every time picking up on so many little clues that the author dropped.
Flaws of characters a main focus? It's complicated

How did I cry my eyes out even knowing what happens in the end?! This story is based off the Greek mythology of Achilles and his friend Patroclus. It was so beautifully written it and added another layer to the original story. UGH!
