Such an amazing book, and so much better on the second read! I was destroyed by this and am so excited for the sequel!!! The only reason it’s not 5 starts is because it feels a lot more plot-driven than character driven, which is just less my scene, but this is for sure some of Sarah J Maas’ best work

I took a while to get into this book but I really enjoyed it once it got going! The end was a little quick but overall a satisfying read

Loved the start and end of this book! The middle was a bit slow, mostly being a very long training and sleuthing montage, but the characters were enjoyable enough to carry me through (particularly Manon, this book was a great introduction to her character). Overall, it’s left me excited to see how the story continues!

A slow start but the characters were  interesting and well fleshed out. The last quarter was executed really well and brought my attention back to the book, excited to give the sequel a go!

This book was perfect from start to end! It kept me constantly on the edge of my seat and was such a great follow up to the first book. Can’t recommend highly enough

A very exciting book with an intriguing,  diverse, and morally grey cast of characters. A unique take on a magic-based world that felt incredibly real. Can’t wait to dive into the sequel!

I absolutely loved this book - it was so well written, well informed, engaging, and above all really made me feel seen and understood
It’s perfect for anyone who is either a women/was raised as a women, who had a Greek mythology phase, or, like me, ticks both those boxes
Highly highly recommend, but definitely check trigger warnings before diving into it!

A solid read with compelling characters, a great addition to the world-building of the previous books, and a hint of political intrigue. Overall really enjoyable!
