Another couple to melt your heart. Aaron and Lucy are truly so lovely on their own and are pretty kickass together. Allie’s way of creating fully fleshed out characters with different strengths and struggles is one of my favorite parts of her books.
Aaron is the most golden retriever and hopelessly in love guy possible. Lucy is super hesitant to get back into anything remotely representative of a relationship after her divorce.
This is a one night stand that becomes a happily ever after in such a real way. Truly getting to see Lucy and Aaron as friends for so long through the book makes the HEA infinitely more believable.
I adored getting to see Juliet and Sam as a married couple in this book. And I can’t wait to see what comes next from everyone’s favorite River Valley teachers.

I was so excited to finally know what caused the line of tape in Rachel and Lucas’ apartment was caused by and boy did the reason not disappoint. The main characters grow together and on their own with the help of characters from the earlier Beachside novels. The care these two have for each other after many years of friendship is so tangible. You really believe the pull between them and why they can’t let the other go.
The miscommunication is much more complicated and fleshed out than I’ve read in other romances.
Looking forward to what’s next to come from Allie as always!
