A fascinating introduction to the incredibly varied world of birds. Full of interesting facts and some gut-renching reminders of the mess we’ve gotten ourselves into with regards to climate change. The fact that many of the birds in these images and at the exhibition at the Natural History Museum were hunted makes it a particularly stark read.

I have always been more of a sci fi guy than a fantasy one, but also not really much of either. I’ve been to see Blade Runner and 2049 at the movies recently though, and it put me on a bit of a kick to read THIS brilliant slender novel, well considered a masterpiece. The writing is tight and sparse and the story is absolutely wild.
