Reckless Love by Willow Aster

Single dad and athletes, its going to be an auto-read for me!

I have enjoyed every book in this series, and this one is no different!

The establishment of friends to lovers is done so well with the flashbacks and then present. Seeing them why they made the decision to become friends and keep that boundary with them giving into their attraction as adults added a lot to them as a couple.

The religious background of the heroine, added an element to her character and balancing not wanting to disappoint her parents and shed some of the expectations of certain aspects of religion.

While I do love a bit more conflict, personally, there are still outside factors that give them some challenges and they face them head on together. I do love when this aspect is part of stories.

As always, the girl and guy group of friends are so much fun!

Great narrators!

This was a really good start to the series. I enjoyed how the background of the characters played into what was preventing them from being together. I loved how mental health was discussed and how that was a part of how they would move towards their HEA together, a good representation of very honest and open communication.

I also enjoyed how they are forced to come together, very Jack London, man vs. nature elements. It took me a bit to get into the book, but once I did, I really loved it.

I look forward to reading the rest of them!

CL Rose is quickly becoming an author I will auto buy, as I have been reading them as the novellas have been released in audio.

The heroes are so obsessed and in love with the heroines, and the SPICE spices. A lot. There is good character growth and I find the spice to be complimentary to the character growth as people and/or couples.

I will be listening to the next on in audio ASAP.

This was so good! The King Family has firmly taken the lead in this small town family rivalry, but that is probably because I love tortured and broken heroes who find love and happiness. It is my kryptonite.

JP, who I knew I would love, had that most influence from the King patriarchy, and, therefore, carried the most guilt from what happened with their dad. My heart broke for him getting to see his thoughts and how he felt like an outsider.

I loved that the heroine brought him in, made him feel worthy of love and family. She allowed him to see the good parts, and I loved that they formed this little family! The sone was the CUTEST!

The narrators were great for this! Good pacing, and the narrators gelled well together!

I am truly going to be sad when this world ends!

Slow burn. Super low angst, these two fall in love before they get spicy. BUT the spice does spice.

Definitely an enjoyable audio. I’ll pick up the rest as they are narrated!

Another Lulu book down. I’m pretty sure I’m through most of her backlist and I’ve enjoyed every single one.

Her books are on the lighter side, not super angst, with conflicts that are real but not super overly dramatized. I always know I’m going to have fun listening to the audiobooks!

This one was no different. I liked their meet cute, how they were on opposing teams, but they wanted a real go with it! Watching them fall in love, push each other to chase their real dreams was so good! I loved their family moments of the holidays too!
