Compelling story but the narrator almost made me DNF. The false falsetto were the same for each woman and the country accents all sounded like caricatures. Rating would be higher if it weren't for the narrator.

Story-wise, I was drawn in quickly and invested until the end. This is an expertly done horror novel, but ended being more gut-wrenchingly sad than horrific to me.
