📚My Review
●As a typical mood reader, it took me some time to finish this book, but I was happy. We meet two families, the Demeverons and Havenfort, who have interesting connections due to parents' past history of courting. The parents' history makes for a very interesting chain of events.
●The main characters/ friends Gwen & Beth are your typical English women in season for getting married. Yet these two have no interest in marriage or even men. The author slow blow of their blossoming love, sweet, and different readings experience for me ( as someone who loves smut🥵).
●Once it was made known to the reader, their love was evident things progressed somewhat slowly, yet I understand why the author made this decision. She needed to showcase the pain and anguish of them obviously in love, going against society
Ideology of heternormative relations.
●Another angle that was fun to read was the still strong  love between Miss Demeroven and Mr. Davenport ( the parents). The fact that for 22 years--- they've held on to that 1st love trope was undeniable adorable.

💗Scene I Enjoyed
● Mr. Havenport supports and acceptance of his daughter identity and choice. Even more, the maids-- Ms Grim and Stelm, gave Big auntie energies and played a pivotal role in Gwen accepting who she was - a woman in love with another woman.

● Miss Demeroven finally stood up against the Mason families and their bargains views on how a woman should " obey the man." It was refreshing to finally see Beth's mother's stand up for herself and her daughter.

🎉Overall, I enjoyed this story, and the authors prose was easy to follow. Even though I did read or watch Bridgeton, this book gave the feelings of England and all the banquets with big dresses👗

📚 My Review in Nut Shell:
The Remarried Empress had it all - high society/ royalty drama, mistress, witty & clap back Empress, down-for - whatever ladies in waiting, a dummy for Emperor, A smitten King, and scamming ass nobles.

I thoroughly enjoyed everything about this comic, as I rooted for Empress Navier. She did not deserve embarrassment or completely disrespect her husband, Emperor, Sovishesu.

At first, I felt for Rashta until I realized her ultimate goal. Then Sovishesu....he was beyond a terrible husband. He was a horrible friend. Knowing that him and Navier grow up together and were the reason for them not having children, he deserved everything at the end.

Omg, King Henirey was so smitten and in love with Navier. He is definitely the dude that waits in the cut when your man does you wrong.  The way he, Duke Ergi, and others were plotting was top-tier 🤣

🎨The Art
I love the drawing, colorscheme used, and lettering used in the comic.

I am looking forward to diving into Season 2
I can't wait for the nupitals for King Heniery and Queen Navier💒👰🤵

Alana & Marko wacky love was sweet- and a testament that love see only the heart. Through Book 1 we are following the escape off the planet Cleave and running away from assassination.

There escape and desperate fight for survival and for Hazel was paramount. The additional players-- Freelancers, The Will &Lying Cat, Ghost Izabel, Marko Parents, Osdwald the author , Prince Robert IV added so much wholesomness.  Prince Robert IV is a freak for sure with his big ass TV head.

I also enjoy those moments Alana navigating motherhood while on the run and lesson given to her about parenthood. I also loved that she was a romance book warm.

Each character was well developed and fleshed out.

📚My Review📚
The first half of the book was an intense build-up that left me on the edge of my seat -- something big was going to happen, but I didn’t know what. And wanting to know kept my interest. The mixture of magic of Jad, origin story of Jade, and the history of the Clans-- No Peak & The Mountain was present strategically throughout.

The No Peak Family dynamics was relatable. The eldest being the most serious, the middle " the wild child "& the  last child getting way with it all. I love the relationship between  Kauls-- Lan, Shae, and Hilo, which had a balanced sibling relationship. Each silbling had a very distinct presentation on the page and showcased how interaction with the grandfather impacted them personally. I truly felt for Hilo-- he didn't deserve the ire from his grandfather.  Shae was one of those characters who surprised me-- she is a fighter and strategist.  Lan, he was the glue who held them together. especially how they loved and adopted Anden Emery.

☠️The villains
●Bero-- this man has the God's on his side. Cause the way that man is gunning for some Jade is crack head level.
 ● Ayt Mada, the Pillar of The Mountain Clan, I respect how she came into power. She did what she needed to do-- making her the 1st female pillar!

❤️What I love and
● The female characters ( Wen Maik, Shae, and Ayt Mada)
●The history of Uncle Jenshu and the story of the Return
●The Fighting scene
● Hilo given the 🍆 like a G and Wen Maik taking it like a champ
●How Jade was present on each Greenbone warrior.

The mixture of love, betrayal, death, fear, and power was done well. I am still shocked by all that has happened. I am looking forward to reading Jade War!

📚 My Review📚
I went into this manga blind. All I knew from a fellow bookstagramer was that this book gives you " All the Feels" 💜. So, I was intrigued and bought Book 1 and Book 2.

●We follow the story of Yuki, a first year college student who is deaf & uses sign language to communicate with her peers and Mr. Cuties himself - Itusomi-san; who is also a fellow college student.

●Instantly, we meet with some awkwardness and overwhelming cuteness as Yuki reconciles her instant attraction to Itusoma-san on the train.

●Their interaction is innocent in the sense that Yuki is learning to get out of shyness shell, and Itsuomi-San, though popular, is very consistent with his attention towards Yuki. The small touches and direct eye contact had me swooning. He is so gentle with her.

●Throughout the manga, we are bombarded with butterflies for Yuki. I am rooting for her to get Itsumoni. It is obvious this is a buddying romance. Now, he shows his interest by wanting to learn sign language 🥳.

📚Character Development📚
♡ Itsumoi-san is very direct but respectful.
◇Yuki- is kind, but not afraid to step out of the box.
Their personality traits make for a great connection, and I am all in for it🥳

Overall, I am smitten and looking forward to seeing the magic of 1st time love explode between Yuki and Itsumoi-san💜

" You are broken. But it is broken things that are the sharpest. The deadliest. It is broken things that are the most unexpected and the most underestimated.

" I wish I could love you a thousand lives so ao could fall in love with you a thousand times.

" Where there is life, there is hope."

👩🏾‍🏫 My review
I wait three 3 years to start this book - I wasn't ready to say goodbye to the characters. However, this was an absolutely stunning ending of amazing series. This book explored and showed how power, greed, vengeance, grief, hurt, trauma, anger, and hopefulness could destory a people, a land, and the world. So many parts to this story reminded me of current events today. Maybe I am extrapolating things, but war is the same no matter where or written-- loss of life is guaranteed. Yet, hope, love, and mercy remained.

Sabaa Tahir makes you feel so many emotions for the characters, even the villains. I started to feel for Meherya and even Keris as they both endured pain and commitment to outstanding crimes. It was like the saying goes, " Hurt to people, hurt people."

It opened and allowed me to reflect on forgiveness, healing, and comfort after trauma. I finish that book with a clear understanding of the nuances of why hope is crucial - because it gives us the drive to live, to do, and to love with all your heart.

Though so much death occurred in the book, broken families, love lost--- I was happy Helen Aquilla, Elias Ventrius, and Laia of Serra survived together. What an ending to amazing series.

💜What I loved
● Pacing
●Fighting scene
●High stakes
●The imagery of Mercy ( Rehmat)
● Lessons of Hope and Love
●The return of the Lioness
●Healing

If you haven't read Sabaa Tahir's master piece quartet, " An Ember in the Ashes," you are missing out on an amazing story.

As on brand with this author, he enjoys causing me to have anxiety and palpitations.  Book 3 took me on , 🎢  and I felt so many emotions. The plot twists were just PERFECTIONS. The things that happened, the maturation of Darrows and Servos relationships, the deaths, the crazy killing, and the purpose of the Rising had me on the edge of my seat.

🤯 Villians, you love to hate
I secertly enjoyed --Adrius Au Augustus-- I felt bad for him. Here is a man who felt unseen and unloved as a child. He grew up to be a sociopath bent on destruction and fear.
Octavia au Lune- let power go to her head & Prejudice blinded her to better way of leading.
Aja-- she was a Badass Olympic Knight. She survived and still kicked ass. They way they took her out was fucked up, but needed to happen🤷🏾‍♀️

💗What I loved
I absolutely adore Darrows & Servo relationships
Victra and Servo funny mating
Mustangs brilliant mind
Sefi the Quiet-- she is the Bitch
Cassius finally learning the truth about his family
The destruction of the RIM docks
Antonia au Lulii get her ass whopped

😢 What had my teary eyed
The death of many important characters.  Even towards the end. I couldn't/ wouldn't believe this author would do such a thing. But of course he enjoys causing mega anxiety.

💭I wonder what will happen to the Au Lune bloodline?
I have many questions and look forward to jumping in book 4!

Overall, Morning Star was absolutely amazing. I am still processing that ending. I give it to Mustang-- she did what she needed to do and I ain't mad.

I love tropes when done well. The "Fated Mate" trope can be great or horrible. Luckily, this fated mate theme story was decent.
This story takes place in two different times. One is in modern-day Colorado with alpha wolves/ kings and in Norway during the time of the Vikings.
Each state in America has established werewolf king. Their society is very secretive. The werewolves can tranistion into human form and live the majority of their lives in human form.
We meet Chloe, who is engaged to the Colorado kings son, Rafe. Chloe has an old soul - she even dresses like some old prairie woman😒🤣. She lives in a cottage and has a chicken coop. But her fiancé is Gucci 🤷🏾‍♀️.
I enjoyed the Norse mythology interwined in the story. First half of the good. The middle of the book dragged a bit, but I understand the author wanted Chloe & Fenrir relationship to mature and Chloe to find her place. I even loved Fenir aunt and family - they had no filter, lol. The ending was decent but was so rushed🤯💩.

🥵Steam
When Chole went into heat and Fenrir was there to break bread🙃. He came to conquer, lol. Loved that the author got to the point👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿

📣Overall, nice romance with sweet theme about found family & love.

📚 My Review
This was absolutely lovely YA contemporary romance by the amazing Talia Hibbert. The trope of friends - to enemies - friends again to lover was a fun ride. I adore the authors technique and advance notice about addressing mental health issues. I appreciate how she uses her experience with Obessive- Complusive disorder and coping skills from the POV of a teenager boy.

These teenagers were relatable in every way when it came to senior year of high school and first loves. The angsty between our star pupils, Celine and Brad, was on point.

I loved that story followed two promising students scholarship opportunities through wilderness expeditions🤯🤣 as they rekindled their friendship and budding love for each other. Also, I appreciate the authors' take of young adults making executive decision about what they want to do in their life. Even the display of parental support was heartwarming, and even dealing with absentee parent emotional impacts of kids. Talia Hibbert handles those real-world issues well.

📣Lastly, teenager love is one of kind, and I am happy this story brought back so much fuzzy, wozzy teenage memories. Oh, to be 17 again😍.
