I love this book so much. I identify with Circe a lot and find her story from her point of view so much more rich and compelling. Seeing old characters through her eyes lends a new perspective.
I adore Miller's writing here and have underlined so many sections of this book. I can't stop thinking about it and really hope she continues in these lands of Greek myths.

This book picks up the pace again as you start to see the plans within cunning plans that are characteristic of the Sith. Each has their own ideas of living on the planet Kesh as welk as their own ambitions. We are able to see the result of the struggles here and a glimpse into future plans of this new Sith place.
This was more a tense read than an exciting one, as it promises more self serving machinations to be read in the next story.

This is my favorite since the first.
An exciting culmmination of events in this book, led to by the last few stories, this was fun to read. We finally get to the the extent if the plans and self serving ways common to the Sith.
While this was to be expected, seeing the way things play out is worthwhile and there's a twist or two to keep you from getting bored.
Though i always enjoy reading of Sith plans and their outcomes, many stories are told numerous times. In my opinion, Miller does a good job with this and doesnt make the reading tedious in the least.
Worth the read. Im interested in finding out how the story progresses from here.

I find this story well written and as the first story I've read by this author, I am impressed.
The story does not spell everything out for you, so requires you to think. If you can keep up with and enjoy those kinds of stories, then I would recommend this to you.
The characters are expressed very well as are the relationships between them. Although this was a short story, it read like a full book and carried over well.
I found the story engaging and the dialogue smart. Miller was able to gracefully shed light on past events coloring what was happening without losing you or getting disjointed.
Although I haven't read too many Star Wars novels, I wasn't lost a tall.
I will definitely be reading the rest of this series.

I didn't get as drawn in with this story as I did with the first, but I do still enjoy the writing.
It's nice to get a bit of story with the Keshiri and how it pertains to this lost tribe of Sith. Even though I do know a good deal of this pre-Yavin era story, I am a relatively new Star Wars reader. Despite that, I wasn't lost at all.

Interesting to see how Kesh developed a thousand years after Korin and what became of the tribe and Keshiri after the events in Savior. There isnt much mention of the Keshiri themselves but you do get the gist of what happened to boh societies.
I liked the main female, if only because she is a different kind of Sith.
The story is a regular pace, nothing that grabbed me as in previous books.
Writing not as compelling as it was in the beginning but still enjoyable.

Like the previous story, this one did not grab me the way the first stories did. The ending is a bit unpredictable if a little too tidy.
being a fan of kotor, i liked the perspective this last story gived you in relation to the events surroundung that time period.
these last two stories really felt like their own short story, with Savior being the end of the previous ones

A classic novel worth investing the time to read.
At times, the old-fashioned, Victorian writing is cumbersome to read but on the whole, the book was fascinating. I was initially surprised at the length of the book and worried it would be too drawn out. However it does not present itself to be a problem. Stoker did a brilliant job of keeping the suspense of things without becoming anti-climatic. I found myself thinking about the book and being drawn to read it much more than I originally thought.
By giving you events in the form of journals, Stoker made it seem more realistic and it gives you the feeling that youre investigating something after the fact. I found the characters themselves to lack substance but they had enough character to make it interesting to read the story from different points of view.
I greatly enjoyed seeing the differences, or perceived differences, of east and west for this time period. Bringing such ancient lore as Vampires into the comparatively modern age was a little something extra that I enjoyed as well.
