Very heartfelt and sincere, funny at times and grounded. A book that is necessary for me and for the world. As significant as I think this book is, most of all it was impossible to put away, a story like talking with a friend or acquaintance, and one that feels like finding connection. The author’s and translator’s notes at the end say all of this better than I can.

Some of the horror stories were interesting and didn’t feel too derivative. I could really see the influence of the novel Frankenstein, specifically. All the stories combined make for a weird read, in a good way.
