i waited for annie/mac's turn a couple books back and while i enjoyed and really liked this book… I expected more? more tension, more hate, more bickering. in other books, mac seemed like a grumpy and a sarcastic person which had me very interested in their relationship but in this one, he was nothing like he was before. completely different person. annie didn’t change and thats good. the missing grandma plot was alright. i wish they spoke about their relationship more and i wish the reason

why it didn’t work out was because he was scared

didnt play imto this, like, yes, that can be realistic but its been used so much everywhere its getting tiring. overall, super cozy and will reread it during winter. maybe my mind will change.

this was a tense read! its like a novel within a novel and i got confused at some point. although i was disappointed in the ending... it got no explanation and very open in a way i stopped being interested in it. other than that, it's a good novel! the letters were somewhat chilling after you realized what's going on.
