Honestly, I'm not sure what to make of this. It's mind-numbingly boring, frustrating, and monotonous. Perhaps minimalism just isn't for me. This collection attempts to capture brief, fleeting moments, offering glimpses into conversations, emotions, and lives. However, while structured as vignettes, the minimalistic prose falls flat in evoking any feeling. It's been less than ten minutes since I set the book down, and I can't recall a single story. God forbid I ever pick up something like this again, knowing I struggle to get through Hemingway and never again Carver.
But I do love his poetry, though.
