I love Les Miserables. I loved the first two books. But this book dragged. The action of the final part was fantastic, with moments based on the original story that had me gripping the pages tighter. I love how the authors transform story beats and character moments into something new and fresh. However, this book didn’t give me the satisfaction I personally was looking for.

Once again, Holly Black has written a book I immediately want to reread. The atmosphere was stunning, and the plot is so tightly woven that I got lost in the strands. 
The characters aren’t glamorous or dainty- you won’t find any ballgown wearing, elegant heroines here. Instead you get Charlie Hall- a real woman and one of my favorite contemporary fantasy protagonists. Do not miss this book.

What a beautiful, melancholic story. The mystery unravels in such delicate ways, I devoured this book in hours. Another great book from V.E. Schwab. I’m going to put it on my October re-read list to get the full chilling experience.

A blend of Labyrinth and Practical Magic all wrapped up in a rom-com blanket. I laughed out loud every time I opened this book. I loved every single character. Very slow book, but I can’t wait for the next installment.
