Let me tell you that i was so excited for this book to come out! I really love Kalynns books so much! I loved Cinderella Is Dead and her duolegy of This Poison heart, but this book was a bit of a let down to be honest. Yeah, i might had high expectations due to her others books i have read, but the pacing of this book was too slow. She had powers but i still have no idea to what extend her powers are and what exactly her powers are. You get to read here and there that she uses it for specific things while hunting and she uses it against the enemy but that is all of it.

To me there was not much retelling except for the second half which wasn't the case with Cinderella Is Dead! Besides that it read like she had the book all planned out! I mean that is normally great, good job right!? But this time because of that reading this book felt flat to me.

But the lets get to the positive things, because there are still things i absolutely loved! It wouldn't be a Kalynn Bayron retelling if the roles where turned around and the love interest was different then you would firstly think! I kind of was prepared it was going to be sapphic but it wasn't with the FMC this time! I don't mind it though because i still love how it turned out! I personally still love it how the story of Snow white is weaved into this retelling!

Over all, i like it, wouldn't reread it, wouldn't really 100% recommend it, not a 4 stars for me but enjoyed it anyways. Not a waste of money, book still had good points and some strong parts but not as much as i am used to from this writer!

‼️spoilers if you have not read both books from this series yet‼️

Oh how i love Carissa her Crowns of Nyaxia series!

Okay i do need to say i like the first book a little more then the second, but its only like very small. But ugh Raihn, absolute book boyfriend for me i am telling you🫠 love that man and how he is around Oraya and respecting her. Why can't men be more like him in that way honestly😌 and not just men though some women should be like this too, i had my fair share in that ngl

Every character in this book written and woven in so good honestly! I love how we got to know more about Mische! I really want to know more of her background and now that Carissa has said we will in the next book which i am so excited for! Writing style was beyond once again, i personally really like Carissa her writing style, how she writes how Raihn is so patient for Oraya and at the same time tries to put up an image up as a king, trying to get respect. I think the little moments between Oraya and Raihn where her body wants him so bad but her mind feels betrayed is written greatly. I have read many books from writers trying to attempt to write this and not being able to capture it while Carissa is absolutely able to capture it beautifully, and even more when Oraya finally gives in!

I have cried, laughed, been wanting to stab multiple people while reading this book and the ending of it was absolutely lovely. I was prepared for some kind of heartbreaking end like we had with the first book but it wasn't this time and im not mad about it. If this book would be the last book i would have been satisfied, but it can still be written further!

Postcards from Valhalla is about a 15 year old boy named  Viggo. His father passed away when he was 10 after he went off grid. The same location his brother Magnus has now gone missing. While he wants to go see the new Thor movie with his friends his mother already bought tickets to Shetland to find his brother Magnus. On the way they get to meet a strange passenger who doesnt seem to want to leave their side and who has strange stories about himself that do not always add up. But that is not the only strange thing happening as they are at Shetland as Viggo gets visions about vikings who used to live in Shetland.

This was such a strange but intrigueging read. I could not put it down. I kept telling my friends, its strange, i dont get it but i kept going, i kept wanting answers and boy oh boy did we get the answers. The book is packed with some Norse Mythology and if you got the knowledge on that it is fun to read it and you will absolutely remember things.

Normally i dont really read these kind of books as im normally a romantasy reader and there is a very minimum to no romance in this book. I honestly didnt mind it at all. It was surprisingly good and the ending was kind of what i thought but also not really.

I really loved the writing style, it was paced up right with not too many details on things! At same time you get to know a bit about Edinburgh and Shetland and it makes me itch to go back and not just visit Edinburgh but Shetland too😂

Overall absolutely worth the read if you like Norse Mythology!

First of all Mia thank you for letting me read this adorable novella🫶🏼

Knox is is searching for his fated mate and turns to a witch to help him find her after not being able to find her himself. But all magic comes with a price...

Bailey just got out of a not good of a relationship and is not ready to start a new one

Until she meets wolfie on her front porch, she thinks he is just a normal wolf but she also started to get these very livid dreams about this very handsome man she can't get her mind off.

What to expect:
🐺wolf shifter MMC
🐺human FMC
🐺fated mates
🐺a magical cost
🐺he falls first
🐺insta-love for MMC

This is such an adorable fast paced spicy read! I just finished and i am screaming at how adorable it is! I can't wait to read more of the writer!

In my opinion as it was fast paced it was not annoying at all. Knox searches for a mate, bailey feels alone and they find each other in the most adorable way!

The only thing that i made this a 4 stars is that i wasn't personally liking the words used with the spicy scenes but to everyone its own with that! Writing style to me was a good writing style!

‼️read the trigger warnings of this book‼️

Im still wondering what i have read but also thinking about greatly this book is written!

After my best friend begging me to read it for some time i caved in and honestly i have not been disappointed!

The story is written so twistly but lovely at the same time! I absolutely love and hate Z at the same time! He does sick and twisted things but at the same time saves so many lives! If grey was a person it would be Z honestly😂

The way Calton has written it, i absolutely love it. I have seen this way of writing before with Carissa Broadbent and its my favourite way of writing! The way of body wanting someone but mind doesnt until Adeline finally gave in with her mind too! Not many people can pull this off but Calton is one of the people who can!

And ugh the smut😭😍👌🏻 so on point, absolutely love it. Its detailed but not too much detailed, but you know exactly what is going on and how both Z and Adeline feel about it!

I love how the book is written in duo povs! I love knowing what both think and how they fall for each other rather than hearing one sided how the love story goes!

I'm honestly a bit scared for the second book! The end of this book ended with a huge cliffhanger and my best friend already told me how worse the second book is as she has already read it! The trigger warnings of the second book are more too! But still im excited to read more about Adeline and Z in the next book!

This book was honestly one of the hardest books to rate since a long while, because i have so many good and bad things to say about this book.

Before we dive deeper into it, i will tell you in advance, do read the trigger warnings of this book! This review is my honest review on how my experience was reading this!

Okay lets dive into the good things first, because there are good things about this book and i honestly think there is potentional in this book if the bad things were not that severe! The book is about two men, and the servant has loved his boss for 20 years! The chemistry and tension is feelable while reading, its a slow burn and it takes a while before one gives in into the other with not just body but full mind too! It was not just from one day to another but 20 years of build up tension and chemistry, certain morals and promises and views that were learned and not!

The things that really irritated me which made it not a 4 stars for me was the way this book was written. The sentence building and descriptions. The who said what, and who thought what was written very messy. Half of what i read i have no idea who said it or who thought it! Besides that it really irritated me that descriptions were used like "asked the older of the two men" and "after the blue-eyes man nodded again" it made reading it a lot more confusing

But overal the book has potential, its a good book and it would have been even better if the writing way wasn't as confusing which made it for me putting it off of the reading and made it slower to read

First all, oh my god what was that plot twist i had to reread that three times to make sure that was actually happening!?😭

Second of all, before you start reading this dont forget to read the trigger warnings first🖤

This was such an adorable fun read enemies to lovers, well atleast... what can i say on that😭 i was sceptic at first but the further i went to read on the better it became!

Barbi had such a great character developement! Started out as spoiled, had no idea what life actually is, tried her best but still a bit ignorant to developing to learning how real life is. Yes still a bit naive which at first irritated me but the character developement made it so much better!

the dark one...pfff how can i say this without spoiling the fun!? He is such a well written character honestly! The warning about the dark one at the warnings of the book i ignored that thought that wouldnt be like that and took it with a grain of salt but damn he is really is the worst of the worst and no redemption i hope she comes back way stronger to take revenge on him i swear😭❤️ my romance loving side hopes he did actually fall for and that the cliffhanger isnt true and that he realises what he did but i need to wait for book 2 for that😫🫶🏼
