The Culling by Steven Dos Santos
5.0
The Culling was a very interest book to read. It it one of many that is part of my books to buy list. This dystopian, thriller, horror type of plot pulled me in immediately. The descriptiveness of the scenes in the book made me see what what’s described, all the gory details included. I was sad to finish the book because it was so great! But alas my spirits were lifted to find the sequel to the book which is now on my Libra army card as I am beginning to read it.
The Sowing by Steven Dos Santos
This book is another fantastic one to read as you continue The Tourch Keeper series. Finding out the secrets and all the plot twists has me wanting more. The ending was a huge surprise and it was even hard to keep up with it all towards the end! I am eagerly awaiting the arrival of the next book at my library so I can continue and finish the series.
The Safest Lies by Megan Miranda

After reading this book I have no doubt in my mind that this should be picked to win the black eyed Susan award. After reading this as a challenge for school I am not surprised it was nominated at all. This was a thrilling book to read and the relationship brewing through the horrific events the characters went through just added to its appeal to me and hooked me in. This is another book on my list to buy and I can’t wait to have it in my possession just like all the others. I will definitely be looking out for this authors other creations to see her amazing work take on a different plot.

This book was a little bite different than what I’m used to seeing, but it was great nonetheless. It is on my list of books to buy and just like the rest I look forward to getting it. I thought it was a little old the way the hallucinations of Shakespeare’s characters kept showing up. I didn’t quite understand the role they played but it made for a very interesting story. I could feel her pain as she had students and teachers look at her once she came back with her injuries. I, myself, have felt the unwanted stare of others in school. I was happy that she met her real life Romeo and I was disappointed at the ending. I wish there was a sequ to this book so I could get answers to my questions.

This was such an amazing book to read. I could not put it down each time I started reading. I finally found answers to a lot of questions I had at the ending of Obsidian and Oblivion but so many more questions have arrived! I’m immediately going to start the next book in this series and I’m sure it will be even better than this one. I’m positive that more questions will arise and questions will be answered. Just like the other I also know just like with the ending of this book, more cliffhangers will be at the ending. If you wanna find out if Daemond and Katy get together or continue to fight and deny their love for each other then READ THIS BOOK! The answer to that question will at least be given.
I highly recommend reading this to get some answers you have all had after reading oblivion and obsidian. There is more in depth explanations to how the Luxen came to earth and why it is forbidden to heal humans. I have also found out just how screwed up the DOD is in this series and you will share all my frustrations about it also.

This book is once again another one of my favorites. I could feel all of the emotions from the description put into the scenes in the chapters. The ending was a surprise to be and I have already started reading the next book in this series, looking to find out if my wishes are granted for the characters.

I cannot believe everything that Kat nd Daemond had to go through. I was also infuriated with the scene where they wanted to have have Kat healed for the second time and what they did to prove he could do it!
Other than anger at the DOD and Daedalus, I have felt how much Kat and Daemond love each other. Everything he has went through to try and be with her and keep her safe is just amazingly sweet.
I also think I speak for everyone when I say I wasn’t the DOD and Daedalus in this series to be burned to the ground for what they have done.
The ending to this book also has me in awe at the amount of Luxen that have just arrived. I’m very curious as why Dawson, Daemond, and Dee couldn’t control their shift around them. Another big question is what does this mean for Beth and Katy when the triplets was away, why, and where in the world are they all going? Also why were Archer and Luc not affected like the triplets were?!
All in all this was another amazing book and I’m going to start reading the next to get my answers to all my questions!

I am pleased with how this series has ended. It is once again another favorite of mine. I was happy to read that Beth and Dawson’s baby was perfectly healthy at the end of the book and I thought it was interesting to learn that they had the first girl origin in history. I’m wonder if Kat and Daemon are the next to have a family or if it might be Archer and Dee.
I was also put on and emotional roller coaster towards the ending of the book when they come back home to try and end everything. Regardless of all the tears and anger felt through reading this story I’m galad to have read and finished this series.

The One Memory of Flora Banks by Emily Barr
2.0
This book was fine but it wasn't a favorite. I thought that the idea of the lost memories was good. I thought how Flora took control of her life was amazing but the repetitiveness of her memories that she did have and what she wrote down was a little to much and it made the book not so enjoyable for me.
Book of Lies by Teri Terry

This book was very different from others I have read. I did like how every other chapter switched from Quinn and Pipers P.O.V. In the beginning of the story I was slightly confused on if they knew what they were and if Piper really did know she had a twin before meeting Quinn at their mothers funeral. The young adult in me was also totally rooting for Zak a Quinn to be together once I started to get the Idea of how manipulative Piper really was and how she lied to make Zak fall in love with her when they first met.
Towards the ending of the book I was also confused about why Quinn didn't tell the truth to Zak about what happened when everything was over. I was also hoping that before she burned the book that everyone knew the truth and was understanding of what happened before she made everything safe for her future child and her future with Zak.
