Okay, color me impressed. Suki Rose will definitely be on my Authors to (in a Literary Way) Stalk list after this marvelous dark academia series opener.

While multi-POV, we mostly follow Isla, a witch with a talent with and predilection for deadly plants who gets an invitation to attend Greywood Conservatory, A school that focuses on Baneful magick. Greywood seems like a great opportunity for her to grow into her power along with other magical beings such as fae, Incubi, shifters, and centaurs. Greywood holds many secrets though and some are much more deadly than others.

Isla is a wonderful FMC to guide us through the narrative. She's witty and not afraid of much. She's comfortable in her own skin and just incredibly likeable in part because she's not perfect.

If you're a fan of dark academia, reverse harems, and paranormal romance, I absolutely recommend this. I'm excited to see what happens in the next book.

Picking up where book 2 left off, this book was everything I wanted it to be. Roman and Leera are easily one of my favorite book couples since book 1. Honestly, get yourself a partner that loves you like these two do. And Khaos is my book boyfriend. The more we get to see of him, the more I enjoy him. No Khaos slander permitted. Okay, enough gushing!

Having been thrown for a loop in MPF, the pack set themselves into motion on multiple fronts, both to ensure Leera's safety, and find out what it means for their future when added to the information Andrei dropped on them. There's an even balance of seeing day-to-day life where we get to know our characters and the dynamics between them while also moving the plot forward in a way that kept me invested.

Notice how I'm telling you nothing from Book 2? That's because I don't do spoilers and you need to read this series. Go, now. Why are you still here? Get thee to the 'zon. Book 1 & 2 are already on KU and Book 3 will be available April 4th.

Solid 5 stars.

Thank you to the author, Izzy Elliott, for providing me with a copy of her book for the purposes of my review. My thoughts are my own.

This sounded like such a me book when I read the blurb and I enjoyed myself well enough but the characters didn't really work for me. Mountie (Takoda) was the grumpy to Holly's sunshine, but his attempts to woo her were slightly overshadowed by the other two. Hawk started very one dimensional, but became wonderfully complex, and Leif is the pretty Golden Retriever boyfriend.

The spice was so good, but as I mentioned above, Takoda and his quiet, bloody attempts are only hinted at because Holly is... busy.

Overall, enjoyable and good if you're looking for a spicy and sweet romance.

Thank you Valentine PR for giving me an ARC of this book in exchange of an honest review. My opinions are my own.

And thus ends the story of the Kane brothers and their unhinged loves. I have thoughts with a series overview on the last slide.

So look, I don't do spoilers for new books and am not less careful until 10 years out. Overboard, maybe, but *you* have an aunt yell at you about spoilers for telling her what happens to Church in Pet Semetary in 2009 and see if you aren't the same. Aaaannnyyywhoozits, I knew since the end of Rowan/Sloane's book that I really liked Rose, and was sure I would love her and Fionn's love story after Lachlan/Lark's.  Definitely not disappointed.

We've come to know boys and pieces about Fionn and Rose as the series went. S&S filled in the blanks in such a wonderful way. Seeing events from the first two books from their point of view was a great way not only to make me remember some great things, but told us how these two worked. Very well and very often.

This was idiots in love, but I will hear no slander/libel of my beloved idiots (Brynne Weaver has a thing for ennuculation and I am not squeamish people! 😂). The chemistry was off the charts, and they made a super hot, very tight relationship besides being seeming opposites. This was a great book and a fitting end to one of my favorite trilogies. ...what do I do now?

Whoo-boy, this is a tough one to rate with no spoilers. As usual, Rebecca Yarros ripped my heart out and stomped all over it.

My two biggest criticisms of Iron Flame were addressed here. Cat, who felt like she was merely there to create tension between Violet and Xaden in IF was actually given something to do in OS and I found myself getting attached to her. Violet's jealousy in IF was almost unbearable and yet in OS I got my bad ass heroine back. She was everything I wanted her to be in the previous book, strong, confident, and a leader, all things she showed herself capable of in FW.

Xaden? No notes. You're doing great sweetie.

And now the wait for book 4 begins
