"I've had this dream so many times."
I wasn't sure what to expect going into this but I have heard great things about it. I'm glad I listened! I really enjoyed the story and build up in this volume. The brooding Anzai and the dark themes that surround him are balanced well by the innocent Tsukasa and her kindness. I appreciate how the author adds more dimension to the characters by showing many sides of them rather than focusing on specific qualities. For example, showing Anzai's humorous side along with his slightly dejected nature helped me connect with the character more. The art is also unique and certainly helps it stand out. Overall, this volume exceeded my expectations and can't wait to see what happens next!

"How could you ever be forgiven for this?"
This is one of my favorite series and I was immediately hooked after Vol 1. I love how Fe excels at balancing heavy tones and events with light-hearted, or sometimes even, giggle inducing humor as well as, what I consider to be, a sweet budding "grumpy-sunshine," romance that runs parallel to the main plot. More to that, I love that Chateau is, in my opinion, the "grumpy," while Ryang-Ha is the "sunshine." I do not see many stories where the FMC gets to be the "grumpy," character and I am here for it! The writing and story are so fluid and covers a wide spectrum of emotions without making the reader feel they are dramatically swinging back and forth. The main story is a bit heavy in most places (this is a plus for me but I understand everyone's preferences are different) but the back-and-forth between Ryang-Ha and Chateau as well as their interactions with the people around them put this series in the sweet spot for me.
In this volume, their story begins to escalate and we are given a few more clues to the mystery revolving around Chateau. We also gain some insight to events that originally put our story in motion. Still, many questions are left to be answered. The build-up to this series has been great and I am so excited for the next volume coming out later this month!
