To be honest, the story of January does seem EXTREMELY based on the story of Jon Benet Ramsay. I felt myself dragging through this book because it didn't feel original until about 85% of the way through. I would have really like to see some more originality from this author.
The ending does leave you feeling empty. I feel like this could have been wrapped up nicely, but the last chapter is a hole in my opinion.
