This series truly has the funniest rom coms I've ever read. I genuinely have a hard time keeping a straight face while reading, and that's not something I normally struggle with. The relationship development in this was lovely. I adored the characters and the way they helped each other to grow.

I'm excited to read Penelope's book next, then I really want to try some of Tessa Dare's other series.

This was sweet and funny and silly - everything you would expect from it having read the blurb. It's a crazy, fun premise, and it really was a joy to read.

The realistic characters and the way their emotions are portrayed really helped keep this story grounded when there was a danger of it getting too ridiculous. But it was also pure, lovely escapism.

If there's one thing I would say it's that I was expecting more romance - slow burn should come with a warning!

Epic fantasy is back in the building! This was incredible. I haven't been so invested in a story in ages. And the sense of humour throughout was impeccable, I tabbed so many funny quotes. Even though this took me over a month to read and I should probably take a break, I'm itching to go out and pick up the sequel.

While this was light and fun (as I was expecting) the writing seemed a little immature. It reminded me of fanfiction, and I think it would've benefitted a lot from another round of editing. That said, it was a good laugh and I enjoyed the spice. (It was better written than the rest of the book.) I'm not sure whether I want to continue the series, but I did really like Felix's character so I might check out his story if I feel inclined.

Did not finish book. Stopped at 61%.
I let this book go on for far too long. I'm never going to finish a Christmas romance in February. Time to let it rest.
