I am crying right now. This book changed my life and my perspective on things. How little we put value in the small moments that we have with our loved ones. This book made me appreciate the little things life offers us. That we should cherish everything that we have. That no matter how short and fickle our time in this world, we can still choose to fill it with good memories and surround ourselves with love.Tisaanah and Max deserve everything; they had gone through so much, and still they don't lose the spark of humanity within them. I love how Tisaanah is a strong badass heroine but also kind and nurturing. Sometimes, I want to slap the shit out of her because she's too kind and selfless. She had sacrificed everything for her people and for her vision to have a better world, and she believes it and fights for it. Tisaanah is courageous and resilient. The sheer strength to fight for what you believe even though the world is against you. Many times the world tried to break her, but she still stands. And Max, I love how he faces everything, even his worst fears; I love how sassy and straightforward he is and how human he is. I mean, he's powerful, but he still embraces the parts of him that are ugly to the world, and I love how he's not like other MMCs that are stoic and cold and too "man" to feel emotions. He made me realize that it isn't a weakness to feel emotions; it's what makes us stronger. Aefe and Caduan, I'm still sad that they died, but I imagine they have a happy ending in the afterlife where they are free from all the sufferings that they have endured.Thank you so much, Carissa Broadbent, for bringing Tisaanah and Max to life. It's an honor to read their journey.

This was a roller-coaster. Gods, please don't hurt my babies. Tisaanah and Max deserve better than what the life had given them. The things they had gone through and suffered made my heart ache. I am rooting for them and I hope Zeryth rots in hell.

I enjoyed it. This is the second mafia book I read where the fmc is a strong, smart, independent, and headstrong. I love love love Donna Catarina. I could not articulate how brave and strong she is. The things they did to her was unforgivable but she persevere and she climbed to power. Hoooh, what an amazing woman. Massimo, this man. I love how he supports and protects Rina even though she doesn't need protection because let's face it she is badass. I love how Massimo is always there to offer her comfort. And yeah, he has a Ducati, what more could you ask for a man.
