String review
⭐⭐⭐
Good story if you like csi with cool art. So Yoon is our main character and she can see strings, hence the title. Each string has a different meaning which I won't spoil. So Yoon does some odd jobs helping out the police and others due to these powers, which is really cool. I really liked the art style of this one, really vivid colours that grab your attention just as strongly as the story would.

Elsa but if she had shadows instead of ice.
Love, love, loved this book. You know how sometimes the second book in a series isn't as good as the first, well this one blows the first book out of the water. Absolutely loved Matthias since Until the Stars Fall so I was very excited to read this book to see more of his fun side.
As fun and witty as Matthias is, this book is definitely on the darker side with more grief, death and torture but isn't that every good fantasy book, but caution is advised if these topics make you uncomfy. Calla, who we met briefly in book 1 is our leading lady for this book and I love her. She has a lot of grief to process in this book, which lead to her making some rash decisions, but ultimately she does it for good reason. She is a badass FMC, even though she was processing all of this grief and I love that about her but I also loved how she and Matthias were able to be there for each other on their healing journeys.
In love with this series, can't wait to read the next book.

It's a good story, however I don't do sibling stuff. So what happens here is thw main characters were together in middle school but no one knew and then they subsequently broke up.
Fast forward about a year or so and their parents are together making them step siblings. Being exs there's still some tension between them, including sexual tension so this made me a bit uncomfortable but this seems to be a going trope in the anime community. So if that's your vibe, go for it but for Me, I won't be continuing this series.

Loved it, loved the mystery and diving back into my childhood. If you're anything like me and watching monster High on YouTube is your comfort, you'll enjoy this book. I loved the new spin on their original stories and mystery and new romances I didn't see coming. You definitely want to read this.

We get to see a little more of the characters in this volume where their names are actually used and it's the cutest thing just seeing them together and comfortable with each other but not really an outright couple but definitely in a cute little dynamic where they can just be. I liked it a lot. Nice cozy read with a lot of fashion art which is cute if you like that.

Cute little story, liked seeing the main characters together and their cute little dynamic. Emma is blind and hence gets to see the world through Alexander's eyes. She ran away from home because she was tired of being treated like a porcelain doll. This lead to her running into Alexander who is in the Police Security Division. He's a little on the rough side but is the absolute sweetest with her. Love the little dynamic between them.

Mimi is such a little cutie, she's adorable but don't underestimate her, she's quite powerful. This story has potential but I'm not 100% sure what's going on. The premise seems to be a school for orphans where they teach them magic to fight against monsters in some war and a lot of kissing since it's healing magic. Need to read more to truly understand the story but it's cute.

Omg I need volume 2 like right this second I absolutely love it. The most popular girl and boy in school otogi katsura or the heartthrob angel as they call her is sweet as well as sassy and it's hard not to fall in love with her but she must keep her sass under wraps and then there is, toki ninomae who is just yummy. I can't get enough of him and them, the ultimate power couple.
So here's the gist of it, both of our main characters have to maintain their perfect presidential personas for the public while they hide who they truly are and only feel safe around each other while ultimately falling for each other and it's the sweetest thing I've ever seen. Can't wait to read more of this series.

Really enjoyed this one. Quick easy read a nice flow to it. Characters to fall in love with as well as to hate. Right off the bat we meet our main girl Nanao, she's sweet and a little bit naive but incredibly powerful. Nanao is set to marry Reito but let's just say that doesn't go to plan and she ends up being tainted and she is treated horribly due to this affliction.
Some time goes by and we meet Yako, who is different (don't want to spoil it) but he marries Nanao despite this affliction hence the title of the book. This is only volume one so we don't get much time with them together but so far I love the story and look forward to reading volume 2.
I absolutely love the art and the kappa are so adorable.
This story has fantasy, swoon worthy romance, betrayal discrimination and domestic abuse. Also blood so be advised.

⭐⭐⭐. 5
At first it was a little hard to get into this book. The pace was a little slow at first and the accent/ slang they used did irritate me a bit but by about 50% is where I started to get into it. Erran is sweet and the perfect balance to Mariel, who had to be tough all her life.
Some quotes I liked:
"Do you ever ask yourself, or have you been on the side of the oppressor so long, it doesn’t even occur to you there may be those not as able to defend themselves from tyranny?”
"Never take criticism from anyone you wouldn’t solicit advice from."
"Love, forgiveness... They take so much more from us. They give us everything to live for and everything to lose."
Overall it was an okay book.
