this one is such a great book for young adult! the inspiring stories are always blowing my minds away. also, it's not just the typical fiction but from this book you learn so much more thing such as history, politics, philosophy, etc. really love this book because they taught us how to see from a lot of different perspective of life.

such an interesting way to unfold the mystery of the murder of mineko mitsui. the character "kaga" really gives me a strong impression from the start to the end! if i have to say, he's the mystery itself. the plot started from investigating a local rice snack shop to the murderer himself. what i love the most about this book is how higashino describe the alley with a lot of traditional shops (which makes me wants to come) and he described every single place in details which amaze me a lot. it's not quite a plot-twist when you see it coming in like half of the book but still, the way "kaga" unfold the mystery is very fun and interesting to be read.

honestly, this feels very differrent from rikako's other book. but i don't really mind with it! i think she explored more genre with this one. the wholesome ending really got me and the premise of this novel is very good.

my first rikako book ever and it's already blow my mind.. the plot twist really is something else and when they revealed what the nabe actually is, i couldn't stop thinking about it for few days.. kinda rough to eat after reading that scene. i would love to re-read this again in the future!

premis dari ceritanya sangat bagus, menceritakan seorang murid yang ingin bertemu dengan orang yang disayangnya yaitu sang sensei. perjalanan serta pertemuan orang-orang yang dulu pernah dikenal memberikan kesan nostalgia pada buku ini. Sayang sekali alurnya terkesan repetitif dan kalimatnya tidak efektif, jadi bisa cepat bosan membacanya. Ditambah lagi dengan detail yang terlalu sangat jadi agak melenceng dari jalan ceritanya.

sejujurnya awalnya sangat tertarik dengan tambahan detil denah rumah pada ceritanya, menurut saya itu sebuah gagasan yang menarik, dan ini yang membuat saya bisa menyelesaikan buku ini dalam sekali duduk. sayang sekali begitu ceritanya berkembang, ada karakter yang kesannya "mengetahui" apa yang terjadi dengan keluarga tersebut dan hampir keseluruhan dari yang dia sebutkan menjadi kenyataan. jadi agak kurang realistis di bagian situ mengingat karakter itu bukan karakter utama dan hanya muncul di beberapa bagian saja.

I love how every part of the book feels like his journey. Even with his sickness, he still trying to figure out a lot of things just like kids did, they want to know everything! And even though it feels like Sam behave like an adult in most of his sentences, he's still a kid in heart. The friendship wih Felix also a very heartwarming one. I hope they meet each other in heaven 💗
