Did not finish book. Stopped at 50%.
Worst book I have ever read. There were weird explicit scenes that made me absolutely uncomfortable. They were the last straw to an already slightly uncomfortable book.

This book tugged at my heartstrings. I felt what the characters felt and wanted the best for all of them, even though I knew the ending was never going to be happy. It was written so well and the writing style spoke to me and made the reading experience so much better than I could imagine. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who wants an emotional and educational experience.

I don't write reviews often. I needed to for this book. I read this as an ARC from NetGalley and my heart was touched.

I thoroughly recommend this book. It tugs at your heart and gives intricate details to the the loved ones struggles helping those who suffered terrible accidents/events recover. I have been adjacent to such a story and this book resonated with me many others haven't. It was written in a very reader friendly and casual way. This allows anyone to read this and connect with the author and the challenges faced by those within the book.

It also touched on some of the unknown and unhappy parts of tragedies. Arguments, disagreements, and slacking in all other facets of life just to survive in the moment.

If you can handle the subject matter, I truly recommend this book.

I enjoyed this books ability to show a teens everyday struggles with school, family, and other various relationships. As someone with very few cultural ties to any culture, this book allowed me a glimpse into a different culture and its beliefs.

I thought the main character was very realistic and acted as a stressed, overachieving, teenage boy would. I think the family dynamics were interesting. I also think the comparison between school and Chinese school and the different behavior of the main character at each was enjoyable.

A few scenes left me feeling a little bit uncomfortable with the language used. However, I think this is due to my own personal feelings than anything the book actually did. I think the plot was interesting and I enjoyed how the story was concluded.

In conclusion, I recommend this book and think it is a quick, sweet read.

I went into this book completely blind. I'm glad I did.

I thought that this book was very well written. I occasionally needed to look up words but I had a nice time with the story.

Overall, I would recommend this for those who are in the place to handle it. It covers heavy topics but has an underlying heartwarming story.

I think many people can relate to the main character, Amir. He has done things wrong in life and holds deep regret for them. I feel many of us have been or are in his position.

I'm glad I read this book.
