I really enjoyed the cast of very offputting women. None of them nice, but all with a kindness, and love of flowers. Sometimes it's just lovely to go along beside someone healing on the lumpy bumpy path. I have a lot of affection for Victoria.

Probably the best book I've read this year? Or at least well up there. Such a compact but patient tour through grief of absence, AND grief of presence. The body horror was so well done, the slow slide of inevitable dissolution. I'm in love with it, gotta read her other stuff now.
