At first I had no idea where this story was going and it felt a bit all over the place. After the halfway point it definitely got better, it had some interesting twists but it  all became a bit too much.

I really liked the concept, the setting, and the diversity. However, I was slightly disappointed by the ending. I think it all happened way too fast in comparison to the other parts of the story.

Overall this was a fun collection of short stories, but I feel like it should’ve included at least one queer story.

  • The exception to the rule - 4⭐️, this was a fun concept and a very cute story.
  • Worst wingman ever - 3⭐️, the concept was fun but the story was okay-ish.
  • Rosie and the dreamboat - 5⭐️, this was just so cute, funny, and wholesome. I really ate this up.
  • Drop, cover, and hold - 3⭐️, the setting was nice and the food descriptions made me hungry, but the story itself wasn’t too special.
  • With any luck - 2.5 ⭐️, this was mediocre at best. The ending was really abrupt.
  • Royal valentine - 2 ⭐️, I didn’t care for the character or the story.

I didn’t like the characters so that made it very hard for me to actually enjoy this story. Most of them were just so rude and toxic, I genuinely hope the next book will be better.

Maybe it’s been too long since I’ve read the first book, but I wasn’t quite feeling this one. I didn’t really like Emilia her behavior towards Wrath, even when I get where it came from. The plot was also kind of lacking, as often happens with the second book in a trilogy. Hopefully the next one will be a bit more enjoyable.

I strongly dislike Jen, even though her behavior in this one was slightly better.  The story itself just wasn’t that great this time either. That ending was way too rushed for no reason at all and I would’ve liked it better if we saw more of Jaylon.
