Decent conclusion. Milan matured A LOT. I already knew Poppa and Italy would be good. Bubba got on my nerves with Anaya — who was acting like a bird once they got their thing going. Poor Beto; Keka was brainwashed smh.

I loved this story! Mitchell and Wanda are made for each other. Loved both of their quirks, triggers, and nuances. A great unconventional love story.

This one is my favorite. I was worried about Reagan going off as a mail-order bride, but all’s well that ends well. Passionately love story. Loved the characters. Loved the historical references. Loved how well Reagan took care of home and her family. Great story.

The pace of this story was a lot slower than I have been accustomed to in the recent past, but the vivid details of this time period made me want to stick with it and finish. I haven’t read a historical novel in a long time, but I’m going read the next book in this series as well as go back find the book that introduced these  Rhine and Sable.

  • Things worked out for Gigi…she’s lucky.
  • Things worked out for Hazel too, but she was in denial too long for me.
  • Holden dragged her feet on certain things, which was annoying. 
  • The cartel thing was unnecessary; the storyline would have been good without it.
  • Happy that Yolani worked on healing herself.
