More Than Always by Jacinta Howard

A sweeter and deeper love
I enjoyed reading the deep emotion that you so eloquently described between Brian and Destiny. No matter what they faced, their love unwavered and truly conquered all. The realism of life's circumstances was on point as was the way the characters handled them. Now I did get annoyed somewhat with the both of them, but I understand why the author played it the way she did. Feel good read. Recommended.

A little too victimized...
I get trust issues. I get navigating through life's obstacles. I appreciate complex characters who want love but have to get their stuff together before they can accept it. This story was enjoyable. However, I became very frustrated with Destiny. It took too long for her to get it together; damn near the entire story. I wanted to read and experience more of her and Brian happily together in spite of their issues. I'm not saying this should've been more syrupy sweet or less real. I longed for more progression in their relationship before the conclusion of the story.

An afrocentric take on paranormal...thank you Christina!
Paranormal is one of my favorite genres of fiction. I'm so happy this story takes a non-traditional approach to love and immortality. The intrigue had me from the arrival of the presence that materialized into the powerful and handsome man, Aram. It took some time for Khalida to recall her past, but when she did...honey, I was ALL in! I can't wait for the continuation.
