A cute college romance with a compelling side plot and no third act break up. I loved that Finn actually had a personality and wasn't just some horny unlikable asshole. Not to mention Naomi was an interesting fmc who didn't act like an overgrown toddler. It was refreshing to see the Grump×Sunshine trope executed well. I couldn't keep a smile off my face while reading, I throughly enjoyed this read.

Such a cute and fun read. Can't wait to read the other books in the Island Bites Series 😌
Could have been a bit shorter tho

The constant mention and over explanation of wig in the first chapter threw me off. Maybe I'll try another time

An enjoyable read that unfortunately left me feeling slightly irritated. Good lord these pop culture references have to stop. This book had five TS references that took me out every time.
I definitely found myself rooting for Kareena. She is a headstrong, a little pathetic and self-assured leading lady who refuses to lower her standards to please those around her. However, her never actually putting her foot down when it came to her family really bugged me. Her sister’s a bitch, her father’s an ass and her grandmother’s just a pushy old woman. Sawry, I could not get over her birthday being forgotten and them invalidating her feelings towards the house. Telling someone to move on from their mother’s death is just shitty to me. It never felt like their issues were actually addressed but however glossed over. To me, Kareena was never a priority for them. Kareena’s immediate family may have been cunts, however, her aunties were a riot. Just a group of lovable chaos who wanted nothing but the best for Kareena.
Prem absolutely annoyed me with his stubbornness. His reasoning for not believing in love was stupid to me but I'm an empath so I kinda got it. It took him far too long to admit that he fell in love, trying too hard to use science as a cop-out. For someone who could identify that he never could let go of Kareena and wanted only to make her happy, he sure was slow to connect his big feelings towards her as love. We honestly could have cut down the back and forth and used that time for Kareena to fist-fight her sister. I did feel satisfied when Prem told off Kareena’s family while also feeling a bit pleased when Kareena’s father punched him.
I can't deny that the leads had great chemistry from the start and I appreciated the flashbacks (even though repetitive) of their first meet at the bar. Their banter was entertaining and you couldn't help but chuckle at times. Overall I was not bored and thoroughly entertained. I am curious about the rest of the friends’ stories. And another thing Charlie? Really?
