Nisha's romantasy books are an instant buy for me, so I was curious to see how her writing translated to a contemporary romance.  I was not disappointed and have recommended this book to so many different people since I finished it.  This book was a slow, slow burn, with lots of tension.  Tris and Rafe are workplace enemies who wind up rooming together on a company retreat.  Tris is trying to prove herself after years of being passed over for promotions.  Rafe is the boss's son and her nemesis that she's been passed over for.  While the premise is not unique, the way that Nisha has told this story is wonderful to read.  Seeing what Tris goes through on a daily basis as a BIPOC woman in a traditionally male-dominated field adds an extra level to this book.  This book has romance and humour, with tension and angst, and I couldn't ask for anything more.  I'm eagerly awaiting Nisha's next contemporary release now.
