When I say I want a dark romance, THIS is what I'm talking about. I didn't even read the blurb before I hopped into this one, so I went in completely blind and was blown away. This is a college/academy romance, but everything felt so much more mature. Raven deals with themes of religion, power, abuse, mental health, and trauma in such a creative way. What could have easily been a predictable dark romance draws you in and keeps you hooked until the very last sentence. I didn't see that cliffhanger coming, and I'll be counting the seconds until the second book is released. I'll keep it short to avoid any spoilers, but please, please, PLEASE read the trigger warnings before reading this.

Aaaah! I'm so hooked on this series. This dark, why-choose story is the second installment in the Devils of New York series and picks up right where the first book ended. Zane, Rio, and Asher are the epitome of dark, morally gray MMCs who will do anything to protect Spencer. We got to know Zane and Rio a bit more in this story, but Asher is still so mysterious. This book upped the spice factor, like very, very upped! Ivy had me right on the edge of my seat up until the very last word, and I'm cursing that damn cliffhanger! I can't wait for the next one in this series to be released!
