This was definitely my favorite book in the series! I loved getting to know Nesta and the world from a different perspective. It was also super spicy!

This was such a cute and funny take on this classic tale! I loved how it was modernized by pulling in the reality show aspect and instantly grew attached to the spunky lead character.

This book was great as a change of pace. Because it is broken up into articles, it was easy to read for a few minutes and put it down.

This was a quick read that easily sucked me in and kept me guessing. It was a very interesting viewpoint of the time period.

This was a nice easy read. While I wish the author would have explained things a bit more in the end, I enjoyed the storytelling and there were quite a few parts that were very intriguing.

It took a few chapters for me to become invested. It wasn’t really until Mrs Danvers started being weird that I got into it. I liked that it kept me on the edge of my seat near the end and I loved the description of the setting but certain things irked me, like the characters never really being described well or the main character never getting a name, which I know was on purpose but hits too close to the idea that a woman is nothing unless she is a wife/mother and has no identity of her own. And so much time was spent on her fantasies where she “became Rebecca”….I mean, I also do that whole overthinking/playing out scenarios in my head thing so I sort of see what the author was going for, but it was just written weird and had me thinking it would turn paranormal like Rebecca was possessing her or something. Since I read to escape anxious overthinking, it wasn’t enjoyable to read someone else going through it. And I do not like at ALL that Maxim killed Rebecca and the main character was just like “Oh, that’s cool. We good now.” WTF?! Had she freaked out and tried to run and then was being hunted by Max, it would have made for a better ending. Basically, for it being a gothic novel, I was expecting a lot more of the dark creepiness and I feel like that aspect just fell flat for me.
