Have you ever felt like you weren’t good enough and you have to push yourself just to be good at something? Yup. Maybe we’ve all been there. Pushing Perfect is about Kara, who doesn’t want to be called perfect, yet doesn’t want to be imperfect. And that leads to one thing to another.

Kara is a good girl. She study so much to make her parents proud, though she’s a little bit hard to herself, which lead her to panic attacks and failing. And she resorted to a teeny bit illegal thing.

 The story is fast paced. She met friends along the way. I don’t think Alex became part of the bad influence, but rather she took part in Kara’s journey of finding herself. The mystery is good. I kept thinking who was the Blocked Sender and a little bit confused and mistrusting there. Did not expect who it was tho. I thought it’s gonna be focused on drugs, but it was not really. It revolved around it tho. The solution for the mystery is kinda rushed. Like really? Everything stopped after that conversation? But then this is YA, and it’s understandable that there’s not gonna be a big scene or everything. 

A good read overall.

This is my first Levithan book, and I was not disappointed. I’m kinda confused at first because there’s many characters, but it eventually, everything fell into place. This is the story of gay kids, who were thriving to be accepted. There’s Craig and Harry, who kissed for 32 hours. Avery and Ryan, who were starting as a couple. Neil and Peter who were a couple and lastly, Cooper. The screentime for each story was evenly distributed. The lines in between the stories were very heartfelt. I felt seen, and I feel that it should be read by everyone. I love the book.

I thought this would be a Freaky Friday like trope. Swapping bodies, but instead, swapping lives. I never thought it was feasible since the age gap is large, but then it’s in their personalities that made it possible. I love the friends, both of Eileen’s and Leena’s. There were emotional episodes, but I’m glad they all figured it out. I love the blossoming romance between Jackson and Leena. So natural. Eileen is so young at heart and blend instantly with Leena’s friends. Although, I’m a little bit annoyed for her “meddling” in other’s business. This book is warm and fluffy, no heavy drama. Just fun.

This book is funny at the start. It’s about Laura being a hopeless romantic and stumbling into a chick flick like movie situation, where she end up taking a stranger’s suitcase. What a coincidence right? Is it destiny? The journey of finding Mr. suitcase is fun until it’s not. Feelings were felt, and it’s not the way she planned it to be. Maybe Mr. suitcase was too good to be true. I realized again that your ideal someone can be different to someone you’ll fall in love with. And this story gives a

“He’s been here all along. You’re just looking elsewhere.” vibes. I didn’t see it coming. I’m excited for the progress with Mr. Suitcase’s but her journey to him, led her to another person. I believe, Mr. Suitcase was too good to be true, he’s too ideal, so perfect. But the heart wants what it wants.

  said that Laura  haven’t met yet her version of herself with him. Maybe we all have versions in our life that we haven’t met yet, until someone brings it out to us. Someday, I’d like to meet the version of myself with someone special. 

All in all, it’s a fluffy book, there are frustrating parts, butI love it. I love it so much.

I never thought I’ll love a YA book. After all, my age is past YA, but then I can see myself in some parts. The story is funny and touching and kinda cringey, but that’s being a teenager. I laughed a lot on this book.  Amber, was the tall girl, yet unseen, by her mom, by some boys, but never by her friends. She’s kinda afraid of uncertainty, and afraid to get hurt. She overthinks and do not believe that she’s likable. I can really relate to her. I’ve annotated the book more than I’ve been. I never thought I can relate to a YA book at my age. I remember my 2019 in this book. Being uncertain, being doubtful of myself. I’m just so happy that she broke free of her comfort zone and allow herself to get hurt. I love her friends, who are supportive than ever. The ending is kinda lacking. No closure, but I’m glad she and her mom talked sincerely. A good book for someone who’s confused and afraid to get hurt.

This book is a good ride. I’ve been wanting to read a book by Lisa Gardner and this book didn’t disappoint. I thought I’ll find it boring, because the first few pages are, but the excitement all started when Rainie was faced to face with the mass murderer at school. It also interest me to the field of psychology on the criminal field. And the importance of child psychology. It is a good ride reading this. I can’t wait to read more of her books.
