I wanted to like this book but I didn’t. There was an attempt to show wokeness but ended up just appearing racist and transphobic. The weird comments and just the acceptance of racism made me more and more uncomfortable as well as fatphobia being thrown around. One time Liz hugged a black lady on the street, wow, isn’t she just progressive.
The romance was not even romantic and the storylines were so far fetched. I couldn’t put this book down but because I couldn’t believe what I was reading.
