I’m giving this book 2.5 stars.

SPOILERS, and my review is a bit brutal.

That ending... what a let down! I was so angry with how the situation with Holland and Fable was resolved. Too quick and too simple. There was no vindication or fight back from Holland, which just made NO sense. I also disliked that there was close to no character development throughout the book. I was not a fan of the romance between West and Fable, the “we have to constantly be angsty, and in pain to be together”... not for me.
I feel that if book one and two were combined with the main portions, and took out all of the in between- it would have made a really solid stand alone. As a series, it was lackluster.

I feel so angry because of this book. Like what? Why? Did I just waste time? Yes.

I understand why some can love this, but I am not in that group, too much of a “wowza” plot with little in return for me.

I had to read this for one of my classes, and I was really excited to start, especially due to everything going on in the world at the moment. However, I didn’t even finish this book. I skimmed most of it, and I was unimpressed. While I loved the overall story and the important issues that were brought up, I couldn’t get into the writing style at all. A factor may be that I saw the movie before reading and that played a role in lose of interest, who knows!

I know this is an unpopular opinion, but I did not enjoy this one.

Honestly, the writing was beautiful, but everything else I hated. I hated the concept, the characters, and the story. Unfortunately I was just not a fan of Wuthering Heights.
