I was entirely expecting to love this one, but it fell flat for me. I was losing interest quite a bit throughout it, and found myself spacing out when listening to the audiobook. I think the premise is super sweet, but this just wasn’t my favorite

This book took me by surprise!! I wasn’t expecting to love this one as much as I did whether for the heavy emphasis on the stem setting, but the medical jargon didn’t deter me at all when it comes to how much I loved this. The fake dating trope was absolutely adorable, and I loved the “I hate everyone but you” trope in this as well.

I’ll definitely be reading more from this author!

Okay whoa?!! Talk about a romance book with some trauma, but hi hello that is my faaavorite. The mental health representation was so well done along with the inclusion of chronic illness and generational trauma

There were so many lines in this book I should’ve highlighted because it was so profound and definitely kept me thinking about this book for weeks after finishing

Sometimes second chance romances feel a little unbelievable to me, and I think this falls into that category for me. I just struggle to believe a love can be so strong based off of a few days spent together in high school

Overall, I’m so glad I finally read this. So so so good and so so heart wrenching

I have loved other Ruth Ware novels, but this one feels like a very average thriller. I guessed the ending shortly after starting (which is always disappointing), and the storyline didn’t keep me on my toes as much as I’d like/expect from a thriller.

I definitely recommend other Ware books, but this one is a skip!

Rich people problems with family drama in France??? I’m always here for it. The setting of this was incredible and so dreamy. I enjoyed reading from a main character with independent boss babe vibes, and I actually really liked that she was a little flawed.

The main character experiencing a lot of personal dilemmas navigating a new relationship while balancing work and managing family stress was incredibly entertaining and kept me intrigued throughout the story!

This Nashville rom com definitely leans into that Southern setting and seriously made me want to take another trip to Nashville asap, but sometimes it was a little overbearing of the story. I did love reading from characters working in wedding planning, which is always super fun!

As far as the storyline goes, the main character was pretty annoying. I’m validated seeing a lot of other reviews say the same thing, but it’s still disappointing to love the tropes/settings of a book and be let down my an immature main character

I have loved Alaina and Morbid Podcast for so long, so I was obviously excited to read her first fiction novel. I can say this thriller is unlike most thrillers I’ve read, and I loved how Alaina wrote this with detailing and gruesome scenes including perspectives from the killer. It’s evident how much research and thought Alaina put into completing this novel.

And the end?! Absolutely a MUST to pick up the second book!

Another incredible novel from Elin Hilderbrand! Each of her books completely hooks me with the raw characters she creates and the messy, drama-filled story lines she writes - and this one is no different! No surprise that this is a five star read for me.

Thanks to Little, Brown, and Co for an advanced copy of the book and a finished copy!! So grateful for your team

I really enjoyed this cozy mystery! The small town beach setting with the addition of a bookshop was amazing and really helped me dive straight into the story. I also liked not only our main character but as well as the side characters (and the romance budding with our MC!)

I saw some complaints about the pacing of this book, but I was pretty intrigued throughout my listening experience via audiobook. I will absolutely be returning to Cattail Island for the next book!
