Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng

Did not finish book.
This is my second attempt of reading this book. It is just so painfully slow building up this community, the people and the drama within both of these. All of the characters I did not like regardless of how much it felt like the author was telling me that I should actually really love specific characters. I wasn't rooting for almost anyone in this book. Just lots of drama between families and the entire community getting involved with rumors. No thanks, not for me personally.

Like whoah! What? Why did Sarah J. Maas go so hard on this book?? Nesta went from being my least favorite (as most would agree) to, by far, my favorite! What an amazing book that focuses on self-growth, mental health and women empowerment. And I'd also like to highlight that the women empowerment was done well. You have your nay-sayers but the amount of individual, female and male support is so refreshing to see. There was no being nice or flexible "because you're a woman", it was like "I/we know that this can be done whether you are male or female and you put in the time and grit to get it".

What a good story. I will definitely be looking forward to a reread in the future if I ever need a kick in the ass to get my shit together. "Never again." 🔥

I originally read this book but, was never able to finish the fifth book in the series. Now seven years later, I have picked up again and have enjoyed it just as much as I did the first time. The story hooks you in and immediately connects you to the characters. You feel their emotions and react as if your apart of the story! Incredible. I cannot wait to finish the series this time around.

I loved it! My favorite in the series. So many twists and turns! I couldn't put the book down after a certain point. I just needed to know what happens.

I could not put this book down. The book immediately throws you into the action and keeps it up throughout most of the book. I found myself feeling tense and constantly wondering about how they were going solve the problem at hand. The story was full of surprises and curveballs when you least expected them. I was very happy finishing this series and although I always feel sad when I finish a series, I found myself feeling happy and proud for the characters. The writing was great. I really felt like I was apart of the entire journey. I can't wait to read the next series of Camp Halfblood
