There wasn’t enough description of the world or the characters for me to enjoy the story fully. It frustrated me. But the story seemed like it was good if I could get into it.

The author does a good job bringing you into the immediate world of the story. It lacks some descriptions of the main characters so I filled them in myself until I found small details throughout the story. Lily is on the run from her ex. She manages to escape to a safe place for those in need. There she meets Ralph, Alaric, and Leo. She feels an immediate connection to them all. But she doesn’t trust herself right away. Sadly her ex knows exactly where she is and wants her back. The guys do what they can to protect her. But after a betrayal she is fighting for her life once again. He just didn’t know she’s no longer the scared girl he used to know. This was a good quick read and I enjoyed it.

Violet had become such a great almost adult. I love that she’s starting her revenge arc. These “men” deserve what is coming to them. Her thought process still cracks me up. I love how her and Uncle Randy are so close and how their relationship works. I want a Colby in my life! And then there’s Jackson and Austin… I mean who doesn’t want good looking, nice men, that are okay with murder. I enjoyed every minute of reading this book.

Violet is such a strong girl. Having endured what she did especially at such a young age is heartbreaking. But she survived the only way she could. And she does great on healing in the following years. No one would know what she’d been through. Such a good story.

The narrators do an absolutely amazing job! I was laughing throughout the story. I loved watching both of their internal struggles with their desires. The characters felt full and easy to see as people. It was a good lighthearted stalker story. I enjoyed listening to this story.

I felt this book was not as good as the first book in the series. It was nice seeing this couples’ story. I love that they were childhood friends and first loves. But damn men are stupid sometimes. And she’s too stubborn for her own good. But I did enjoy watching their story as adults unfold.

This book is rough to read. But you are warned in the beginning. Definitely check your triggers. Despite that it was a good book. What Lila goes through is heartbreaking. However it makes her attitude and outlook on life the rest of the book make complete and total sense. Despite their obvious flaws Noah and David are actually really good guys. They may be morally grey/black but it works for what Lila needs. This book managed to get me to really feel for the characters which always rises my interest in the book. It’s a good read but not for everyone.

Hell yeah. Way to prove that horrible childhoods don’t always mean horrible adults. I love that she tries to prevent the horrors of her past don’t continue to happen. The guys are all fantastic and annoying as hell at the same time. Yes she has secrets her damn life has been hell. However she could have possibly help more sooner if she didn’t keep that secret. The narrators did great jobs bringing the characters to life.

It felt repetitive and I lost interest in the story.
