This was a nice quick read. It held my attention for the duration of the story. I enjoyed the characters and the world created. Definitely good if you want something short and sweet.

Skye’s story is beautiful. Even in the thick of horrible trauma she still got up and fought for another day. She suffered horrendous trauma but never gave up on herself. The guys were both horrible and amazing. The character development showed even in this short story. Just a beautiful, tear jerking story or survival, forgiveness, and the strength to overcome the trauma.

I love that Arwen is such a strong independent woman. She won’t conform to the expectations of a high born person or potential queen. She hunts, fights, and isn’t scared to speak her mind. Drae is shockingly nice under his gruff exterior. I love their story and how the relationship evolves so much and has so many twists throughout the story.

That twist! I did not see that plot twist coming. I loved that you can really see the character development throughout the story. And you know the backstory and truly understand the motives for the characters. I enjoyed reading this story.
