It’s a surprisingly decent introduction to Ishiguro - especially for someone like me who has been a stranger to his work. The stories are romantic but funny and sometimes a bit sad. The audiobook is SPECTACULAR. The performance of it elevates the work so much and I’m truly glad I listened to it. It’s a wonderful, short read and it definitely has me itching to pick up my next novel by the author - I can only imagine it gets better.

The best reselling of Mulan I could think of. Actually, very few people can think of it. So I’m very glad this book exists in the world.

I think I might never rate an Ann Patchett book less than a 5. The audiobook has THE best performance known to humankind. God bless Meryl Streep. Godspeed to Ann.
