I was excited for lady outlaws and queer/gender noncomforming cowpokes, but ended up with vague terfy transphobia and an unlikeable FMC who abandons her found family... For what?

The story had a lot of potential but the author would have benefitted from doing more extensive research and hiring a sensitivity reader (or three).

This book had me in a chokehold to begin with, but completely lost me in the last 150 pages. I was sooo sure it was going to be a 5* read for me... I ended up really disappointed.
