That was so cute, and I love "green grass grows around", so! And the art is so soft and whimsical and just ugh, what a cute!

I loved this book so much!

For weeks I have been struggling to get through a book and then finally I start this one and my brain refuses to stop reading because it is so damn good and I love it so much.

This book just reminded me of how much I love sci-fi like this and why I'll be reading the entire trilogy.

Kaaro is a hot mess of a man who sees beautiful women everywhere he goes. He is, again, a hot mess but I love this hot mess who refuses to save the world because it's not his thing (lol). I especially love this particular hot mess with Femi. I love their relationship and the way they interact with each other, I hope I get more of that in the next book.

I also love Layi so much, soft beautiful boy that he is. I want to know more about Layi, and Femi of course, and Aminat, because moghal has secrets and we stan. The complexity of the chacarters makes me want to know more, to peel away at the layers of them and find out how they tick (I think this statement is particularly clever becuase if a situation in the book), I want to know more about them and I am ready to love them even more.

The biological part of everything went over my head. Like, I did bio in school but lol, I wasn't very good at it, so. I didn't really understand what the biology was about, but that didn't take away from my enjoy of the book. I loved it all them same. The words were sometimes bombastic and I spent a bit of the book consulting a dictionary, but again, it didn't take way from the book, it was still enjoyable.

Tade Thompson had given me something I didn't know I needed but that I did. And then made me crave more of it. I'm excited and nervous for the next one, but I'm ready!

CW: ableist slurs, attempted kidnapping,

Nyope. Nobody is paying attention to the fact that Claire is not of this life and that is making me so uncomfortable right now, lol. Like her mom and sister enjoy this life, but she doesn't, but they don't care coz they're making money and enjoy it and yikes. I can't!

And like that's not really even the reason I stopped reading. I literally stopped becuase I wasn't enjoying this as much as I wanted to. And like I've been trying to get through this since last year, so that's saying A LOT!

CW: ableist slurs, heteronormative language, death (parent), underage smoking

I tried to do it, I really did try so damn hard to love this book (especially since people loved the movie so much) but I couldn't. I tried reading it myself, then I tried listening to it, and then tried reading it again, but it wasn't happening. There's just something that wasn't it for me with Lara Jean, I just couldn't fall in love with her POV.

And truth be told, I don't know if I'm even going to watch the movie. Maybe this just isn't the type of thing I'm into and that's sad because it seems so cute

That was so cute, and the art is whimsical and adorable. Would read for younger family members for sure.

Another GN I really wanted to like but couldn't really get into. I wish that I'd been able to because it looks like and sounds interesting.

I don't know what it is about this GN but I just couldn't get into it no matter how hard I tried and that makes me sad because I relly wanted to like this. Oh well!

CW/TW: parental death, ableist slurs

This book is what I'd consider short right, it is so short and is an easy read, but I cannot. I just cannot do it. I've been trying to read this book since last year and I still cannot get through it and just— its time. I've tried and it's not happening so it's time.
