This book was addictive to me which is why it gets a 4. I read it in 2 days. The quality of the story telling and plot weren't the best and the main characters relationship walked the line of abusive. At least that's how I read it, but the smut was superb (and kinky).
The end of this book confused me. I think I got to sucked into Caraval myself. Some of the details where to much and while nice distracted me from the story a bit. Overall though the book was good and I absolutely bought the next.
This book was okay. I liked the world building and I liked the idea behind the story, but some forms of the execution felt a little off. It felt like the love between the two main characters was a little forced and that even though it was meant to be a smutty book as soon as they learned to tolerate each other they getting down ans dirty. The horizontal tango was well written and I like books with that but I need both well written "dancing" and a good plot, and the plot was lacking a little too much.
This book was great! I loved the continuation of the story and how many parts didn't go as i expected them too but still aligned with the characters and ways that they would likly make decisions. This book did loose a few points because the kissing felt at awkward timing, and while the book was good it just didn't captivste me like the first book did.
I really liked this book. The first book got me in made me addicted, but this book I couldn't put it down. I often critique books because I can nitpick things and retain items stand out and get caught in the trap of my brain and they must be known. This book was fantastic I searched my soul for a critique a reason to only give it a 4.75 and there wasn't one. 5 star book for me through and through. I loved it, it was heartbreaking, and hopeful, and intense, and a beautiful continuation of their story. This book truly had me hooked.

I loved this book. It loses half .25 for a side character death that made me sad, and the fact that while they didn't communicate properly for reasons that made sense I also feel (personally) if you are willing to share you inner most parts (wink wink) with a man that should include inner most secrets.
I loved Neon Gods by Katee Robert, I liked most of the trigger warnings, and I picked a book with Krakens for a reason. The spice delivered, and was good the rest of the book I did not like. The main character drove me insane. I did not like her personality, even though near the end of the book it works to justify her bad actions and choices through a past that is not deeply explained. The main female character also hates her body at some point ( which relatable I know). Bit her body is described very similarly to mime, and there was not arc of its okay, or you are beautiful in my culture, it felt like God I hate my body, at least he manages to **** me anyway. It made me feel icky and while I relaize it was not the intent it was the effect. If you want ti try reading this book feel free. I read it to the end because I have trouble setting a book down, and it was a fast read. But be so for warned the characters don't get more likable, the ending is me, and if you have a body type like the character we'll hopefully it doesn't hit you the way it hit me. Good luck, get Kraken.

This book was fantastic. It was jarring and it had twists and turns that constantly kept me on my toes. Some points were a little frustrating some of the unexpected twists making other parts if the book seem null and void. Like some of the progress wasn't actually progress. Which while making it an addicting story bothered me the slightest bit as I felt for the characters and it felt like all the work they had done was for nothing, and then as a way to involved reader I had those emotions too. 8/10 would recommend great book but too intense for some readers (I will still talk about it constantly though). This book also includes a magical age gap relationship that is somehow okay. So if that bothers you this book will too.
I loved this book it was addicting. I took away .5 because of the end of the book I know it was an intense moment but a little communication at all between the two main characters could have solved some of the problems. Another reason I took away .5 is that the entire time it reminded me of the Red Queen Series. This book was also a very slow burn unlike other slowburns this one was really good because there were reasons behind it. But defiantly a slow burn.
This book was addicting but it was hard to start the first 60 pages or so had many topics that made me feel uncomfortable for instance rape more than once detailed and not, and a forced abortion on one woman, these topics do not last particularly long but bothered me enough to almost not finish the book. Past those pages the book was pretty good the equivlant of a b rated movie you can't stop watching. It feels like a wattpad story on paper in some aspects. I would recommend this book for the smut alone but the plot had to many potholes to be recommended for storyline. I will say I do want to buy some more of the series so success to the author I guess.
