awesome. stretches long long long across a lifetime lived and learned. makes me love love and makes me feel okay with the idea of waiting for it. so heartbreaking to live a complete life. so scary to see how ideologies and countries change over the course of a lifetime

i did not like the ending that much tbh but indubitably my favorite joyce i've read thus far... lowkey so fire. like Conversations Between Friends but more irish and more old school of course. love that it took place over such a short span of time. love lovee the structure of it and how all the four entangled characters get one on one time and their own strange relationships. awesome. the consistency with the milkman motif is hilarious also fun easter egg

What part of the spiral are you on? Very interesting reflection on the uncertainty of facts. Everything is subject to question

it’s difficult to find a book critiquing maoism that isn’t entrenched in sinophobia i think but this is succinct and clear. would be interesting to see something more in depth

i think i don’t particularly enjoy this style of writing and i think i have a hard time understanding what hannah is saying to make herself feel good and what is actually vulnerable but interesting and thoughtful and i like the metaphor of a museum

interesting ideas of truth and confession— what value we place on the “truth” and the idea of sex as a secret and as a subconscious….
