Did I finish this? Yes. Am I kinda mad about it? Also yes. I had high hopes for this being a sapphic mafia romance and I couldn’t wait to get into it BUT I was not vibing with this story. Now I will say that the spice was very good which is why I’m giving it a 2 ⭐️. I just wish the rest of the story matched that energy. This was a 100 ish page story and I was willing to give grace when it came to that aspect but this was not what I was hoping for. There were sentences that were in present tense and then others were in past tense so that took me out of the story on top of not being that invested in the couple/storyline. I want to find sapphic mafia romance and will keep looking since this was not for me.

Vi Reyes healed a version of my inner child I didn’t realize needed healing. I felt seen from reading about her and the experiences she had. The fact she was unapologetically herself regardless of feeling lonely was both validating and encouraging. Vi Reyes was independent and a bad ass for all that she was. And seeing how Jack grew as a character while also seeing Vi for who she is and not who others see her as….phew that warmed my heart. I wish I had a book like this when I was in high school but I’m so happy I found it now.

This was an adorable audio. I was obsessed with the narration of this story but I’m also a sucker for friends to lovers and forced proximity, which this gave perfectly! The spice was definitely HOT so if you’re looking for something like that, definitely look into this. The only thing I wish was flushed out more was the internal conflicts each of the MCs had. It was touched on a little at the end of the book, but I was interested in seeing more. Otherwise, this was short and cute and perfect for the Valentines season!

I remember reading about Ryker and Lake about a year ago and, while it wasn’t my first by Briar Prescott, it easily became one of my favorites. I adored the banter and spice but truly fell in love with Ryker and Lake as their relationship developed. Being able to read about them again was everything I didn’t know I needed right now. If you loved the first book, you’ll love this one too. At times it felt like an extended epilogue and I’m not mad about that whatsoever because I LOVE seeing couples being happy together and what their lives look like. If you’re looking for incredible spice, found family, and getting more of two of your favorite book boyfriends, then read this book!

I have been waiting for Brett and Pierce and so freaking happy this ended up being a full length novel instead of a novella. This is definitely the most lighthearted out of the series so far and it was just what I needed in my reading journey right now. Brett and Pierce had so much sexual tension from Avery’s book and seeing how that played out warmed my heart. Brett was so lovable even when he didn’t think he was but Pierce was there to take care of him. If you love omegaverse, read this series!!

Saxon James can write anything and I will be smiling and happy to experience her writing. It’s been way too long since I’ve read one of her books and I immediately fell in love with Madden and Penn. I was so excited to see how our Bertha nudist would fall in love. I laughed so much reading this and cannot wait for the next book! This series is phenomenal!

I LOVED the concept for this book. A mercenary mistakingly going to kill a mortician and their chemistry was spot on from the beginning. Our mortician can also see ghosts. I just struggled reading this at times because of how long it was. I wanted to love this more and think it will be perfect for some people. I wish there was more emphasis on the seeing ghosts part. It was very present at the beginning of the story but through the middle it wasn’t there as much and I was a little disappointed with that. But overall, I kept reading because I was interested in how their story would play out and happy I read this. I say give it a shot if it sounds interesting but don’t be afraid to admit it wasn’t for you if it’s not. There were times I felt that way but wanted to finish it.

Janelle and Rome have my heart!! It’s been FOREVER since I’ve listened to an audio in one day. But this one had me unable to stop listening. The care, love and support Rome gave Janelle was refreshing to see just because his actions were effortless in wanting Janelle to stand up for herself and put herself first for once. There were moments where he struggled to not overstep but he was so down bad for this girl that he learned very quickly what worked or didn’t for her. Ugh I love them so much and HIGHLY recommend!

I’m not usually a fan of second chance but this was cute! It’s a super short audio and I loved seeing more of these characters from the other books (I accidentally read book 3 before book 2). There were a few moments I was hoping for more reconciliation between our main characters but with how short this was, I think it would have needed to be longer for that to happen. Overall this was cute and I loved this series so much!

I loved the last book in this series. Getting to see all of the other couples made these feel like a found family book except they’re actually brothers. Ugh I love friends to lovers and just wanted these books to be longer because of how much I love them!! Go read this entire series!!!
