Twisted Valentine by Isabel Lucero

Getting to read these two again and their novella…I miss them already and know I’ll want to do another reread. They made me laugh and swoon, which should be difficult for two serial killers. But they didn’t disappoint for their messed up Valentine’s gifts to each other. Please read Dysfunctional and then read this. It’s AMAZING!!!!!

This was a typical mafia, boy obsessed story. It was good, just not my favorite. It could have been the audio I wasn’t vibing with but I was a little disappointed I didn’t love this as much as I wanted to.

This was pure hilarity and Beatrix Hollow did not hold back in giving us a short, spicy holiday read. I was cracking up laughing reading this and would have loved something longer to get more of Soren’s POV and the dynamic between the MCs. I just love how Beatrix Hollow can intertwine humor, serial killers, Christmas tree shopping, breeding kink, and so much more to create this fabtastic romcom. I’m simply obsessed.

Nordika Night is an incredible author and this book was another example of the magic she creates. This story features a positive take on sobriety where the character does not relapse. I was nervous about that but am happy with how this story develops because it was a different take on navigating that dynamic. If you don’t believe in soulmates, you will after reading this. I will never have enough words to express how much I love this book. I immediately ordered the physical copy. Please read this series. It truly is life changing and I’m not saying that to be dramatic. It quite literally was perfection and an unforgettable read.

Mei is a woman after my own heart. She was strong and fierce in a way that is a positive expectation I have for the fallen men series. I didn’t know what to expect from this book because it was so mysterious for who Axe Man was and who Mei was to him. This was amazing and easily one of my favorites from the series. I knew early on that this was different because there were still the typical fallen men mc elements but this was just more. The only part I wish was resolved was the way some of the fallen men characters were treating Mei. The Mei/Axe Man part makes sense that it was resolved, but when there were enough examples of the way Mei was being treated by other characters, that should have been resolved a little more in my opinion. It didn’t take away how much I loved this book but that would have made it a 5 ⭐️ read.

I love my romances dysfunctional and getting to reread this story felt like curling up in a warm blanket in front of a fire and just relaxing. I missed Kas & Ezra so much. I had the best time reading this again and getting to experience some of the unhinged possession between these two made me laugh and swoon. If you haven’t read these two yet and you love dark romance, definitely give this a chance. Ezra and Kas give each other exactly what the other needs and the way they accept each other…absolute perfection. I’m sad this is over, but there’s a novella I get to go read now to see these two for a little longer.

Bea Lafayette was a strong, powerful fmc who has made this book one of my favorites in the series. Bea is obsessed with Priest, the Fallen Men enforcer, and when a serial killer starts stalking her…Priest comes to help save her. She does save herself as well but the two of them work together and it was magical. I adored them as characters and can’t wait to continue the series.

Roe is stealing my heart one book at a time and I’m not mad about it. I adored Leo and Davidson so much. Those two deserved their happy ending with how much they went through as a couple but also individually. I loved getting to see more of the dragons in this book and get more information on them as shifters. Go read this book!!!

Dragon shifters?? Say less. While I have never read any book about dragon shifters, I’m so happy this was something I picked up. I love Roe’s writing and his sweet, SPICY stories that just suck you in and make you fall in love. Fated mates is my kryptonite and this was wonderful. It was a different take on typical omegaverse as far as the heat cycles and mate dynamics where the human omega lives longer and doesn’t get sick because they’re mated to a dragon. I just adored these two and can’t wait for the next book.

The CLIFFHANGER will have you in a chokehold. I love a slow burn and this was a beautiful story spanning 11 years. You get angst, unrequited love, and character development that is done in an unmatched way. Seeing the way these characters change and grow over time only added to the overall desire for these characters to get a happy ending. While we have to wait for it, being able to see the growth and development in a natural progression makes it worth it. I loved these characters and NEED them to get their HEA so I will be waiting like it’s Christmas Eve for the second book.
