The Blood Mirror by Brent Weeks

It's a bad book. That's it. Kip's chapters are painfully unbearable. The characters I liked and actually cared for suddenly become guest characters. There are like infinite twists and that too just for the sake of twists not because the story needed them. The first half of the book feels like Brent Week's ode to sex. I will still finish the series just because I don't want this pathetic excuse of a book remain as the last memory of one of the greatest magic systems in all of fantasy.

Okay the story is moving quite a bit now. Artworks are definitely among the finest. But what I don't like about this manga is Takemichi himself. He is a 26 years old guy going back to his early teen body but he acts like a pre-teen child. It's borderline annoying. And when are the adults, police, health service workers in this universe? I mean you have like 200-300 teenagers fighting with knives rods and whatnot in a city mind you, not in a field or some backwater place, literally a metropolitan and no one notices? How?

The plot is nice and all but a bit of effort to make things more grounded would have been appreciated.

Honestly I will keep on reading just for the cool art.

Brilliantly woven epic saga. The PoV shifts are at times confusing but the story is worth every confusion.

I am not a big fan of this art style but I like how straight forward the Denji is.
