There's something about this portrait of someone who doesn't fit in, and how society accepts the outcasts reactions - or lack thereof - at first.
Then how extensively the attitude of the society changes, rather than the stranger himself, when faced with his lack of accepted behaviour in the aftermath of his wrongdoing. His previously accepted strangeness is now proof of evil. Or is it the absurdity of the moral of the masses?
He has done evil, but is he evil at heart?
It's fascinating, and thought-provoking.

An sweet, quick and easy read, taking a whole other turn than expected. Perfect for a lazy Sunday.
But don't think to much, then it'll all be a bit disturbing.

Sometimes it would be good to take a step back, before hitting publish. What a strange book.

Øynene mine svir. De har sett for mye.
Og det tar aldri slutt."

A decade after the book was recommended to me, I spent a decade (two months) reading it.. Why? I don't know. But please read it too.
