Nicole Parker has a gift for giving you a serotonin boost. I thought Solved was really funny and I had a great time reading this novella.

I really liked Stephen and Kayla. I've always had a soft spot for nerds and I think Kayla shares my opinion šŸ˜‚

As usual Kyle is exceptional. The more time goes by the more I like this character.

Wrapped is still my favourite Kyleverse book so far, but Spread is a close second.

I didnā€™t expect to see an incubus demon turned into a spatula, but I wasnā€™t disappointed for a moment. I also really liked the way Mel took charge once Spatha revealed himself to her in his true form. You can tell sheā€™s a big fan of romance books.

As always, I enjoyed seeing Kyle again. I think he really is my favourite character in the whole series.

Iā€™m going to start reading Solved now.

This novella was as sweet as cotton candy.

Suffering from anxiety myself, I understood Owen all too well. I thought Gale was really cute with him and the two of them make a lovely little couple. Of course, you canā€™t be in the Kyleverse without Kyle making an appearance. The young man really does find a way to combine help and fun šŸ˜‚

Now itā€™s time for me to discover Spread

I really feel sorry for Chloe and Matt, who really didnā€™t let us down, but in Wrapped Kyle undeniably steals the show.

Like the previous two books in the Kyleverse, I had a great time reading this novella. I love the humour that Nicole Parker brings to her stories.

I never had a Furby when I was a kid, but I wouldnā€™t mind having a Flurbo now that Iā€™m an adult šŸ˜/jk

Once again I had a great time reading this novella by Nicole Parker. Kyle really has a talent for finding himself in the weirdest plans šŸ˜‚

Iā€™m going to continue my journey into the Kyleverse with Wrapped.

I didnā€™t expect such a fun and hot story. Kyle and Taylor know how to have fun together and Connor knows how to find his place in their duo, no matter what form heā€™s in šŸ˜

One thingā€™s for sure, Iā€™m going to read every novella available in the Kyleverse from now on šŸ˜‚

I hadnā€™t had time to read the serial on Patreon, but as soon as I could get my hands on the book, I didnā€™t hesitate for a moment. Two days later, I found myself once again with a book hangover to nurse. One thing is for sure, I really loved reading A Guide to Ghostingā€”and as usual with Emily Antoinetteā€™s books, the cover is gorgeous.

Since I discovered Emily Antoinette, she has quickly become one of my favourite authors. Thanks to her storiesā€”and those of other authors I discovered at the same timeā€”being plus-size is no longer synonymous with being impossible to love. Although these romances are fictional, the emotions they convey for plus-size people are very real.

A Guide to Ghosting features two plus-size characters and I really enjoyed that. I tend to come across stories where the curvy characters are FMCs rather than MMCs and all genders deserve to be loved no matter their size. Although some elements of this book may seem a little tough, there is enough sweetness in it to make you accept that, just like in real life, the charactersā€™ lives canā€™t always be a smooth ride.

I really liked Dotā€™s sense of humour, which is both dark and sharp. Sheā€™s a smart young woman who hides an immense kindness behind a wall of defensiveness. Although she wants revenge on Noah, she quickly realisesā€”as do weā€”that itā€™s not in her personality to be cruel. Noah, for his part, is a marshmallow; heā€™s both sweet and comforting. Despite the obstacles life has thrown in his way, and despite his gruff exterior, this man is a real cinnamon roll, just the way we like them. Itā€™s impossible not to notice that these two souls were made for each other.

As always in the world of Moonvale, I enjoyed seeing characters weā€™ve met before. Max and Nugget were both crucial to the plotā€”Iā€™m only exaggerating a little. I also enjoyed seeing Emma, Noahā€™s sister, whom I first discovered in Emily Antoinetteā€™s new serial on Patreon.

If you donā€™t know who Emily Antoinette is yet, or if you havenā€™t had the chance to read one of her books, go for it; you wonā€™t be disappointed for a moment.

For the Fans is the kind of book that starts by warming your heart, only to break it into a million pieces before helping you mend it by giving you the glue you need to put all the pieces back together. As a result, I guess I must have a masochistic side, because there wasnā€™t a single moment of that book that I didnā€™t love. Since then Iā€™ve been wondering why I hadnā€™t read it before, knowing that people had been recommending it for a while. I suppose Iā€™m a masochist and a bit of an idiot šŸ˜…

The main criterion that makes me love a book is the characters. I need to feel invested in the story of the characters to really get into a bookā€”of course the plot is extremely important too, but my opinions revolve mainly around the characters. In this case, I loved Avi and Kyranā€”and I loved the plot.

Aviel is a character I liked from the very first chapter. His humour is fantastic and his empathy is unparalleled, but you quickly sense that this nonchalant clownishness is actually hiding a huge amount of anxiety that heā€™s trying to silence with weed. I liked his relationship with his mother. It always seems incredible to me to have such a relationship with your parentsā€”hello personal experienceā€”so I think itā€™s beautiful when a child can talk to their parents about anything without it affecting their relationship.

As for Kyran, heā€™s a character I understand all too well. My heart ached for him. At first glance, itā€™s easy to see him as an insufferable character. Heā€™s haughty and angry, but frankly I know all too well the anger that fills him. Kyran is first and foremost a young man in pain whom you want to help. As you get to know him through the chapters written from his point of view, you really understand him better.

Avi and Kyran have phenomenal chemistry together. Iā€™m a huge fan of the enemies-to-lovers trope, and here itā€™s executed extremely well by Nyla K. As they begin to tolerate each other under the guise of being business partners, itā€™s clear to everyone but them that their relationship is much more than that of two colleagues.

Throughout the book, I also enjoyed the secondary characters, both Avi and Kyranā€™s friends, as well as Aviā€™s mother and Kyranā€™s sister.

I make it a point to keep my reviews spoiler-free, so Iā€™ll stop here, otherwise I could go on for hours about certain details of the book. The bottom line is that I loved this book and would highly recommend it to anyone who hasnā€™t read it yet. After reading For the Fans, Iā€™m definitely going to check out Nyla K.ā€™s other books.

If I thought Tentacles and Teeth was hot, Bound and Beguiled is a boiling hot book šŸ„µ

We got a brief glimpse of Tereza at the end of Tentacles and Teeth when she called her cousin Katarinaā€”who is FMC from the first book in the series. At the start of Bound and Beguiled, we follow a Tereza who has had to leave the Covenant to escape a dangerous situation. She moves in with her cousin and gets a job as a waitress in Katrinaā€™s girlfriendā€™sā€”Sidā€”bar. There she meets four Bwbachods who will change the course of her life.

In addition to the extremely well-written spicy scenes, this book tells the very moving story of a young woman made vulnerable by the physical and psychological violence she has suffered at the hands of people close to her. Thanks to Mared, Efa, Emyr and Kynan, she gradually regains control of her life and regains the self-confidence that had previously been constantly shattered. This makes Tereza an FMC with a lot of courage and strength. Mared, Efa, Emyr and Kynan are really perfect to accompany her on this long journey. I canā€™t think of a better match for her.

I canā€™t wait to read the next book in the Consorting with Monsters series.

A fun fact about myself: when I was about 7 or 8 years old, I saw the film Twister (the original) for the first time, much to the dismay of my family and friends, because I canā€™t say how many times Iā€™ve seen it sinceā€”but it must be several dozens. Watching this film led to my fascination with tornadoes. Since then, whenever I can watch a film, TV series or TV programme about tornadoes, I do. I donā€™t think Iā€™ll ever get to see one in real lifeā€”theyā€™re very rare in my countryā€”but Iā€™ll always be amazed at what nature can create, even if I deplore the number of victims and the damage tornadoes cause. Anyway, all this is to say that when Kayla Grosse announced she was writing a book about storm chasers, I was sure I would read it and love it. Spoiler alert: I did.

Again, the only thing that made me put my Kindle down while reading this book was the fact that the Sandman came to knock me out so I could finally get some sleep. I really did devour this novel from beginning to end. I was as fascinated by the storm chasing scenes as I was by the relationship between T-Daddyā€¦ er Ryker and Finley. The two of them were as endearing as they were at times unbearable. Repeat after me: COM-MU-NI-CA-TION! Now, isnā€™t that difficult? Is it? šŸ¤£ All joking aside, I really liked the two main characters in Whirlwind

Finley is an extremely intelligent and determined FMC. She has given herself the tools to succeed in the field she is so passionate about and I am a huge fan of her. Ryker is an MMC who knows how to grovel and proves that he would do it for Finley for miles and miles after the mistakes he made at the beginning of the book. It was interesting to get their respective perspectives on the consequences of a teacher-student relationship. It wasnā€™t just ā€˜who cares, you only live onceā€™, but inner reflections that rightly weighed up all the pros and cons of this forbidden relationship.

I was happy to see Jake from the Cowboys of Night Hawk series again. Since Finley is his cousin and best friend, the conversations they have together are sincere and we finally get to know more about him. I loved Joey! Seriously, he almost steals the show from Ryker and Finley in this book, his presence is so crucial. As for Hawk, he lives up to his nickname in so many ways, and even though Ezra is a character whoā€™s a little less visible, I really wanted to find out more about him. I donā€™t think I would have minded finding several seasons of Tempest Trackers to sink my teeth into šŸ˜„

Whirlwind is a novel that only confirms that Kayla Grosse has become an author whose books I will read as soon as they come out. I highly recommend this book.

Thanks to Kayla Grosse for giving me the opportunity to receive an ARC of Whirlwind. This review is my own. All opinions expressed are mine.
