I couldn’t tell if this book was about time travel and trying to fix the past to change the future or what was happening.

boi, this book didn’t start to get better til the first romance scene tbh. It wasn’t mysterious, it was a little confusing.
It all just kinda seemed all over the place.

I got really bored by this book. And I’ve never said anything about a book ever. So tbh.. this is a rare opportunity for me to talk super critically about this book.

I’m not 100% sure what the authors intention was with this one but it wasn’t dark, it wasn’t mysterious, wasn’t even scary.
Like reading the title, I thought I was gonna get maybe a little Stephen king vibes. I’m not sure who this author’s inspirations are, but it’s clear to see that this expectation was so below the bar.
Or maybe my intentions for this read were too high since I compare other books to current reads I finish.
but I don’t recommend this book.

Wow 🤩
Nothing could COMPARE to this read! Not even the last Penelope Douglas book I read.
Damn… the on again off again heat between misha and ryen, oooooof.
I still couldn’t believe that in the beginning ryen didn’t realize who misha was.
Although it was sad to see misha pretend to be someone else just go find his mother who abandoned him and his family.

I didn’t mind that this was only an audio book, or the fact that this was a novella.

I just didn’t like the fact that these chapters were like an hour+ more; yes.. each character was like an hour or so long.
Honestly, with chapters that long, it means that the author had too much to say and couldn’t shorten it down at all.
